It's not as good as Citizenfour isn't that horrible to say though.

It was a pretty solid film... Worth seeing... Makes the issues that Snowden expose tangible level and brings them to a human and personal level.

CitizenFour felt like watching a bit of history captured for the screen. I highly doubt this will feel anything like that.

Honestly, the film was more hurt coming after Citizenfour. In my opinion, they complement each other in a big way. I think it holds up, years later, because both have been seen at this point.
Also, no praise for Levitt's performance? I liked him.

I love the fact that the BBC put these videos online. But why is no camera in focus?

Wow... I'm starting to disagree more and more with The Good Doctor... And strangely annoyed by his mediocre reviews of very good films.

I enjoyed the movie very much. I loved Joseph Gordon-Lewitt's performance and the portrayal of Snowdens personality and private life.

The documentary isn't 'edge of the seat stuff' dramatically, but it is very revealing.

wiseguy100 i thought it was, the uncertainty over snowden and what would happen to him, was genuinely quite tense. Haven't seen it for a while but the paranoia by the characters made the film tense and exciting

But isn't that a good thing? That this information isn't being sensationalized? I always feel like when information is shown in a way that focuses on entertainment (esp. recent history channel "documentaries") they lose the core truths within by glossing them up to much. The worst case scenario is the drama or thrills resonate and stick with the audience more than the information behind it all.

Cant be as bad as when they butchered "Men Who Stare At Goats" - astonishing and totally true book made to look ridiculous by fictional elements in the film.

Who is the newspaper editor they are referencing?

CitizenFour is much better for sure, however this movie has it's moments. I can also thoroughly recommend Scott Bennett's astonishing book Shell Game which shows the blatant hypocrisy of almost everyone calling for Snowden's head.

Citizen Four didn’t explain anything techy. Snowden was a decent film with done ludicrous casting: Nic Cage? Rhys Ifans? Seriously? Edward Snowden is a better actor than the actor playing him.

That is not how you pronounce Rhys Ifans. Not that that's the point of the video.

Not to mention the script was terrible.
