I'm still relatively new to Saunders. I've only read Lincoln In The Bardo, Reign Of Phil and his short story Escape From Spiderhead. He has an absolutely fascinating way with incorporating big ideas and themes into an approachable writing style. Although I feel I need to read Lincoln again as at the time I felt a little underwhelmed by it. I have a feeling I would enjoy a lot more with a re-read. Civilwarland is one I really I want to get to. Great Video 👍
hi, i just wanted to thank you for your lolita review, i hated how people called it a "love story", people who don't know anything about child abuse, thanks again
If I had a dime for each time I have shared an absurd but sincere observation of my life or life in general with family and friends and have been met with, “ are you ok?” “ you seem so ___, “ insert the various descriptors here. 😐 Thanks for this review and recommendation. ✌️!
At the risk of sounding really pedantic, here are my two cents. 1) Instead of "exploits" (4:37), what about "trivializes" or "banalizes"? (That would give anybody PTSD.) 2) Maybe 'archetype' was the other word you were looking for. Absurd things I like to read? Why, "The Wind in the Willows"! Cannot thank you enough for that one.
