A very enjoyable reaction video! I never watched the old anime (it was tough to find and expensive where i lived), but I *did* read the manga and loved it. I am very pleased with the remake so far! I hope you will keep enjoying the new series too 🌸🌸🌸
Eh, I’d compare it more to a sitcom than Looney Tunes. It’s full of fun characters getting into bizarre situation, with a handful of really good serious and emotional moments, too.
@SpookyGhostGoku Idk man, when you're turning tea ceremony, flower arranging, and grilling into martial arts, it's some bonkers Looney Tunes nonsense (in a good way) if you ask me.
@@MaliceInCandyland But with some romance and hope sooner than later Shampoo one of the very first waifus. 💙 Shampoo 💙 !!! She was 🔥 🥵 🔥 in the old series. The old series had an uncensored version not original shown in the US but shown in other countries.
@@MaliceInCandyland That's the definition of a sitcom tho. If every episode was completely random you could argue it's looney tunes-esque random slapstick but the fact that there's a consistent setup (the dojo, martial arts, Ranma's gender swapping) makes it an outlandish situational comedy.
More like a lot of 80s anime had far less hangs ups on that stuff. Not just Ranma, but even in shows like Gundam and Dirty Pair. It more or less started to disappear as the 90s got underway.

Ain't no way! 👀
EL MEJOR ANIME DE HUMOR DE LA HISTORIA
It's a romantic comedy but really it's more like Japanese Looney Tunes, with Ranma being Bugs Bunny.

The old uncensored version had some explicit nudity.
