Anthony wiltshire when ur calculating cp and Health in pvp, attack is weighted the heaviest but in pvp, stamina and defense are more beneficial as opposed to raids and gym battles where atttack is better. Since attack is weighted heavier it takes away from the other two stats making it slightly worse for an exact same Pokemon with 13 15 15.
What do you think giving azu play rough + HP in this lineup since you already have Altaria covered with fross. And play rough will help with the mirror more?

Toxicroak is so badass in Great League! Trainers who use Azumarill, Registeel, Galarian Stunfisk, and/or Bastidon are probably pooping their pants when they face Toxicroak lol
Hey! Yeah so another great option is Ivysaur - vine whip + Power whip + Sludge bomb, Shiftry is also very deadly - Snarl + Leaf Blade + Foul Play, Victreebel is also great - Razor Leaf + Leaf Blade + (Sludge Bomb or Acid Spray)
Great question! The reason being is the switch clock has a 1 minute timer after you swap a pokemon, so by letting time run down you essentially shorten the time to switch again without taking damage on any of your Pokemon. I use this team often, and if I switch to Azu they likely gonna stay in, and if I can land a hydro pump its clutch :D or if they switch, Froslass also can take out Skarmory, Avalanche takes 50% of his HP, but without shields Froslass can only survive a sky attack, it's kinda glassy :/

Yep! So the reasoning behind it was additional tank coverage. I used Azumarill as my safe swap, seeing as I lead Toxicroak, people will most likely swap in either their grass/Registeel into handle Azumarill. Azumarill with Hydro Pump can hit back against Registeel, and with Ice Beam protect itself from Grass.
Year of the rat made me wonder if cinccino could be viable since its CP is relatively low and has an interesting moveset. I unlocked a 2nd move and did a demo battle with my GF.. I've concluded it's kind of bad, but wondered your thoughts

@@WarChortle I'm not an expert (3100 MMR with my budget Ska, Medi and Venu team) so take this as you will, but Toxic, Deoxys and Azumarill sounds good to me as Toxic would be your Batman, Deoxys - Robin, covering Toxic's weaknesses to Psychic and Flying, and Azu as a safe switch and a cover for Ground-type weakness 😅
twertas appreciate the advice. I haven’t been raiding very much the last months and don’t have rare candies to get decent deoxys or regi and trying to figure out a more budget friendly team of 6. I’ve using the team builder on pvpoke to help rate what I’m weak to but in the heat of a match my brain sometimes .... loading .... loading ... I know it’s a practice thing.

Hey Zionik! I’m already preparing for my most neglected league by far... the Ultra league of course (I love the Masters though lol) and I’m a bit lost on whats good and whats not. Obviously the pillars are the Giratinas and Registeel, so I want to make a team that counters them since I always play anti-meta (I just enjoy it more). I had thought of an initial team of: Snorlax (good lead, counters the Giratinas very well and is very bulky, another option would be Togekiss I guess?) / Lugia (seems good against the dragons, is extremely bulky and helps cover the possible fighting types against Snorlax... problem is it would be only with Sky Attack, I dont have enough candy for the other one hah) and Lucario (helps counters the steel types although you must be careful with Focus Blast from Registeel, has good coverage with Shadow Bolt). What do you think? is it a good start? Other potential pokemon I’ve considered are: HC Empoleon, Gyarados, Regice, Togekiss, Machamp, Latias and Melmetal. Any combo of those is better? Thank you so much!

Its weak to double steal because toxicroak cant handle psyhic. Jirachi as a lead, melmetal at the back will trigger once u switch to azumarill. Whatever u did chance switch back to froslass its already too late. The last opp pokemon is hariyama which can handle 1 shadow ball. Gg wellplayed, i lose to this team
@@ZyoniK I put up a new team in rank 9: Swampert with mud shot+hydro cannon+muddy water (Havent had the luck with switching muddy water yet) Altaria with dragon breath, sky attack/Dragon pulse, as safe switch to grass types, and azumarill with bubble+play rough and hudro pump as a tanky backup. Gave me 3 wins in rank 9, i had lag on game nr. 4, which took away from me 3-4 charge moves against the next to last poke, and that cost me my win because i had to shield twice due to not defeating the opponent on fast moves.... :D

I tried an all water type team... blastoise, mantine, azumarill/lanturn/poliwrath... almost had 5 wins when the game crashed in the 5th battle resulting in a loss...:(
There's a few different approaches, wiggly is mainly weak to steel and poison. 2 of the biggest counters for that are Registeel and Venusaur (Flash Cannon and Sludge Bomb respectively). Be careful with venusaur however, wiggly has access to ice beam.
I like how hes talking through it with strategy like 3 of those games weren't against little timmy sonnuvabitch who had no clue what the hell he was doing.
I think this team needs to come with a warning. I ran it for two sets and lost every game simply because of a lack of coverage. I think the problem is that Toxicroak is also pretty squishy, and this team doesn't recover easily from a bad lead. Now lag was particularly bad today, but most of the losses I just had no play against the opponent. Now my play may not be quite as finessed as some, but the team I usually run has been far more reliable, and it differs only in using Ferrothorn instead of Froslass and leading Azumarill.
I ran a Crustle in Fusion and it did very well. Its weak to alot of the meta for open great league but could give some a hard time if they didn't know it's typing. Its amazing how many people throw a flier up against it to counter the "bug" and we know how Smack Down works
I have kind off settled on my team with Whiscash, A-Raichu and Shiftry. Sometimes struggling with grass types though... But it absolutely dominates people using Deoxys, Altaria, Registeel and Bastiodon. It's also fun to take down mudboys with an unexpected grass attack on Raichu :')
Toxicroak is crazy crazy good, been using it for a couple of days after seeing a lot a full meta team and decided to give it a go. Win rate grew up instantly (just hit rank 7 using it and Alolan Raichu, another godly mon that can handle a lot of meta mons) and so far also the joy of playing the game, a lot more enjoyable with an anti meta team. Tips for using Toxicroak: it can survive both a play rough or an ice beam by Azumarill (with at least 80% of its total hp for PR, 60% for ice beam) and also a frenzy plant by Venusaur or Maganium so you can save up a shield in those kind of situations expecially with energy advantage, sludge bomb if unshielded is just deadly against almost everything besides steel types but steel types rarely show up with the frog on the field. Charmers might be a problem if w/o enough energy and in rank 6-7 they start showing up
If you fear the mud, try Shiftry. Razor Leaf/Leaf Tornado (or Leaf Blade, but you won't 50/50 threaten an ATK down through shields with Leaf Blade) is terrific pressure on mud and will even give Azumarill grief as you can spam Tornado and chew up it's ATK and force shield exchanges. Foul Play works fine for backup and can do good STAB neutral damage where needed. It might not murder everything you open against, but it generally will make them regret the exchange badly.
I've been getting trashed in the battles, last night I only has 17 wins in 40 games but started using a Vaporeon, Skarmory & Celebi team, I'm on an 8 win streak now

If you want a spicy reliable pick go for alolan graveler. Im seeing lots of skarmory on rank 8 and it seems no one notice slo grav can tank anything it throws and also grav can farm super well with the buffed volt switch.
@@ZyoniK Also for a sneaky Altaria counter, go for Ice Fang Drapion. I love going with what no one expects. My team now is Toxicroak, Drapion and Kindra (remember that Kingdra's Octakooza can down the attack of the opponent).
I actually ended up building this team and quite like it, I ended up going against skarmory leads more often so I changed the team around to alolan Raichu lead, toxicroak and then azumarill. I just swap between these two teams depending on what sort of leads I encounter more (it was a lot of skarmory leads it was ridiculous.)
How many ranks are there actually? I’m rank 5 right now. Also, I’ve used a Toxicroak with counter and dynamic punch but should I have an ice punch and sludge bomb instead?
@@M4gl4d I think there's a glitch currently where damage doesn't register, it's not the fault of either player but rather the niantic system. So this mysterious "3rd shield" is a error in the coding.
@@ZyoniK No, it isn't just a matter of damage not registering, I was veeeery careful about it, and paid attention and counted them with a bunch of fruits. I would move down an apple after each shield, and I found out that some people use up to 4 shields. I know NIANTIC announced that they fixed the airplane mode exploit, which caused your opponent to freeze when you turned it on/off, and that explained SO many losses when I was about to win... SO MANY defeats I should have won... anyway, at least they fixed THAT. I hope they fix the shield spam soon.
Hi zyonik..i'm using skarmory lead with double mudboy..depending on the enemy lead i change to one of them looking to drag out the grass type or another mud counters..then skarmory can easily farm down that counter a throw 2-3 sky attacks onto the next Pokémon..and...i still have another mudboy to deal with registeel/bastiodon/probopass/steelix etc

Azumarill vs. Medicham is such a relaxing machup. you can literally just sit back, relax, and enjoy the matchup!

Go to your inventory of pokemon, click on one and scroll down "unlock second charge move" gives you two charge moves

Hi everyone, new to pvp. Just realized I've been sitting on a Rank 1 Shadow Houndoom, should I invest in it, or does IV spread not matter anymore with the new CMP change?
I’m just watching this because I have azumarill but I’m not comfortable with it yet. I just don’t really know how to play azumarills matchups
I tried an all water type team... blastoise, mantine, azumarill/lanturn/poliwrath... almost had 5 wins when the game crashed in the 5th battle resulting in a loss...:(

There's a few different approaches, wiggly is mainly weak to steel and poison. 2 of the biggest counters for that are Registeel and Venusaur (Flash Cannon and Sludge Bomb respectively). Be careful with venusaur however, wiggly has access to ice beam.

I like how hes talking through it with strategy like 3 of those games weren't against little timmy sonnuvabitch who had no clue what the hell he was doing.
I think this team needs to come with a warning. I ran it for two sets and lost every game simply because of a lack of coverage. I think the problem is that Toxicroak is also pretty squishy, and this team doesn't recover easily from a bad lead. Now lag was particularly bad today, but most of the losses I just had no play against the opponent. Now my play may not be quite as finessed as some, but the team I usually run has been far more reliable, and it differs only in using Ferrothorn instead of Froslass and leading Azumarill.
I ran a Crustle in Fusion and it did very well. Its weak to alot of the meta for open great league but could give some a hard time if they didn't know it's typing. Its amazing how many people throw a flier up against it to counter the "bug" and we know how Smack Down works
I have kind off settled on my team with Whiscash, A-Raichu and Shiftry. Sometimes struggling with grass types though... But it absolutely dominates people using Deoxys, Altaria, Registeel and Bastiodon. It's also fun to take down mudboys with an unexpected grass attack on Raichu :')

Toxicroak is crazy crazy good, been using it for a couple of days after seeing a lot a full meta team and decided to give it a go. Win rate grew up instantly (just hit rank 7 using it and Alolan Raichu, another godly mon that can handle a lot of meta mons) and so far also the joy of playing the game, a lot more enjoyable with an anti meta team.
Tips for using Toxicroak: it can survive both a play rough or an ice beam by Azumarill (with at least 80% of its total hp for PR, 60% for ice beam) and also a frenzy plant by Venusaur or Maganium so you can save up a shield in those kind of situations expecially with energy advantage, sludge bomb if unshielded is just deadly against almost everything besides steel types but steel types rarely show up with the frog on the field. Charmers might be a problem if w/o enough energy and in rank 6-7 they start showing up

The pokemon i use for great league are sudowoodo, frosslas, and poliwrath and it works well against anything.. so far so good
cute doggo yeah sudowood is pretty good, I use it too and went 8-10 straight

If you fear the mud, try Shiftry. Razor Leaf/Leaf Tornado (or Leaf Blade, but you won't 50/50 threaten an ATK down through shields with Leaf Blade) is terrific pressure on mud and will even give Azumarill grief as you can spam Tornado and chew up it's ATK and force shield exchanges. Foul Play works fine for backup and can do good STAB neutral damage where needed. It might not murder everything you open against, but it generally will make them regret the exchange badly.
How has this team done against a Skarmory?
It can handle skarmory decently well
I've been getting trashed in the battles, last night I only has 17 wins in 40 games but started using a Vaporeon, Skarmory & Celebi team, I'm on an 8 win streak now

How do you have absolutely no lag?
I'm not exactly sure, but I only play on my Home Wifi and that speed is 70+ Mbps

If you want a spicy reliable pick go for alolan graveler. Im seeing lots of skarmory on rank 8 and it seems no one notice slo grav can tank anything it throws and also grav can farm super well with the buffed volt switch.

Also for a sneaky Altaria counter, go for Ice Fang Drapion. I love going with what no one expects. My team now is Toxicroak, Drapion and Kindra (remember that Kingdra's Octakooza can down the attack of the opponent).
before i knew about the meta, i was using quagsire, scizor, and latias, it was an odd team but it worked pretty well

I actually ended up building this team and quite like it, I ended up going against skarmory leads more often so I changed the team around to alolan Raichu lead, toxicroak and then azumarill. I just swap between these two teams depending on what sort of leads I encounter more (it was a lot of skarmory leads it was ridiculous.)
How many ranks are there actually? I’m rank 5 right now. Also, I’ve used a Toxicroak with counter and dynamic punch but should I have an ice punch and sludge bomb instead?

I'd suggest Mud Bomb and Sludge Bomb. There are 10 Ranks :)

I love this team but it's slightly squishy. If you run out of shields and the ennemy has a surprising move, you almost get one shot :(

@@ZyoniK I've noticed that too. I don't know if its a bug or something, but I too, have noticed some people have 3 shields.
@@M4gl4d I think there's a glitch currently where damage doesn't register, it's not the fault of either player but rather the niantic system. So this mysterious "3rd shield" is a error in the coding.
@@ZyoniK No, it isn't just a matter of damage not registering, I was veeeery careful about it, and paid attention and counted them with a bunch of fruits. I would move down an apple after each shield, and I found out that some people use up to 4 shields. I know NIANTIC announced that they fixed the airplane mode exploit, which caused your opponent to freeze when you turned it on/off, and that explained SO many losses when I was about to win... SO MANY defeats I should have won... anyway, at least they fixed THAT. I hope they fix the shield spam soon.

Hi zyonik..i'm using skarmory lead with double mudboy..depending on the enemy lead i change to one of them looking to drag out the grass type or another mud counters..then skarmory can easily farm down that counter a throw 2-3 sky attacks onto the next Pokémon..and...i still have another mudboy to deal with registeel/bastiodon/probopass/steelix etc
