Great job. And classic game!
Awesome video LK and I'm glad you were able to fix it😎👍
Thanks, Buddy!
You're welcome LK also great choice with WWF Superstars😎👍

That was kinda nerve wrecking to watch since i appreciate how valuable these game boys are. I have one, but mine is the newer generation.. since I'm younger haha. The flippable game boy advance. Called SP model i think.
Restored! Hallelujah!
I was on edge a few times while filming. That part about not being sure if it was gonna work or not was 100% legit. I remember the SP as well. I had one for a while back in the day.
I remember that theme from metal gear for the Nintendo entertainment system
Thanks for posting this video. I have a recently recovered GB with similar issue, though I'm unsure how severe since I haven't taken it apart yet. I'm probably going to give this a try, though if it doesn't work out for me I've already found the no-solder IPS screen mod kit to replace it instead.
My pleasure! Good luck with your project! 😎
Imp Dance that is playing is a nice cover. Running from evil and on the hunt are nice covers by that artist.
This video was very informative, wonder if I should try it myself or send it out for repair.
Honestly, unless you're super intrigued to perform the repair, you'll get a much better investment from sending your console off to have the backlit mod put in. I picked up a modded Game Boy as a Christmas gift for someone a couple years ago and got to see it in person. It's a terrific upgrade.
Awesome Video LK!
Thank you, Sir! 🍻
It kinda worked for me. I still have one stubborn line that wont go away. I already tried everything but it doesn't go away
"It's ten years old now, that's gotta be considered retro now, right?"
*glares middle-agedly*
I tried this with my gameboy but when I turn it on the volume and everything works but I can’t see anything on the screen, turning the contrast dial didn’t do anything either. Can anyone help me out?
How far into the process did you get?
@@lordkayoss none at all really, I turned it on when I first got it and there were lines but then when I opened it there was nothing on the screen when I turned it on
@@jacobe6346 Sounds like when the pressure came off the video connector it lost signal. Might want to try dabbling the connector with the soldering iron to see if you see signs of life on screen.
