I had suffered with meningoencephalitis autoimmune 1year ago, i was unconscious.but i 'm experiencing hallucinations n seizure psychiatric symptoms, give me your suggestion
PLEASE can you tell me if you continue to take psych meds on the daily??? We are at our last part of this journey with my niece , she still talks to people in her head....a simple yes or no will help
You need to take it as long as the doctors would suggest till the symptoms go away totally. No talking in your head no hallucinations nothing. I continued with mine for about 5-6 months on doctor’s recommendation after discharge
The psychiatric symptoms of this disease are usually the first to dissolve after treatment. If your niece is currently still experiencing psychiatric symptoms I would recommend you contact your specialist and have them re test for antibodies. I would also recommend you decipher if these symptoms could be caused by her situation, and if they are dramatic enough to cause concern on a clinical level. I only bring this up as talking to yourself in your head is not a reason for concern nor is it a psychiatric symptom, especially after experiencing such a hard thing like this disease.
Gosh, what a story! I never heard anything like that before. Thanks to the perseverance of the parents! Looking forward to meet!
I'm so glad you released this during February's Autoimmune Encephalitis Month.
