I so enjoyed this episode as I do all of them. Little Odin is adorable. You might want to announce to your viewers that if you turn on your closed captions, and some people call them subtitles, it will translate from the Dutch or Flemish to English. It is very enjoyable to understand what cute little Odin is saying. He really is amazing, you may not know just how amazing he is because he's your first. Thanks for your hard work and sharing your interesting life with us!
I agree with you about having the proper tools. On that subject, please ditch the wheelbarrow. You need a four wheeled cart which you can pull by hand or better- with your riding lawn mower. Save your energy for the tasks where it really matters. If you pull your back or get hurt there is nobody else who can take over for you. :)
I get such enjoyment watching Odin. I miss having little ones in my family. It’s constant work on your farm. You both work hard. You are such a lovely family.
It is good that Odin gets to follow you around, that way he will build a strong bond with you and learn to appreciate your hard work and value it himself.
Young Master Odin, is now growing into his own little man. I love watching him expand his world. He still has his little chubby baby hands. He is a smart one for sure.
Congratulations, you both work so diligently! I like the way you coordinate the sound with the visual, it’s very nice. May the winter afford you a long, thorough rest in preparation for the spring. Merry Christmas!
A good time to get all your winter fuel tucked away! I find the plastic tarps get ripped very easily when the wind blows them about, I leave 20 Cu Mts in open storage and cut them into 1/2 Mt in September, then I bring them into the ban and stack them, there is nothing worst than having wet logs when you need heat in the winter, I did consider making a rolling cover to pull over the log pile in the field, ( I can not have a fixed store as the crane off load can not get under the roof), that would keep the wet off the top of the pile, but they do not seem to get too wet standing outside for a season, collecting the splinters and bark is a good idea, although once we have lit the wood burner it does not go out until May. Stay warm! Chris B.
Mooie video zoals altijd!
Adorable little man. I bet he has some hearty naps with all the fresh air. No wonder he's eating plenty of crepes! Feels so good to be prepared for winter, putting the property to bed. I appreciate your organization.
Thank you again for your video❤ I look forward to it every week. You both work so hard and young Odin is growing so fast and a remarkable boy. I love seeing all your animals (missed the kitty 😿) you can see how they all love you very much. Bless you and your family and thank you again for sharing your life with us. Much love from the USA
Twenty eight minutes of concentration lol, great winter prep and a nice break from working the heavy machinery. I do agree with you, having the right tools for you working mostly on your own is key. Can you imagine trying some of those jobs without it. Odin is just such a treat for me, he is talking so much now and is at the ' mini me' stage, wanting to do what you are lol. Great preparation, take care, ❤️
Odin king of the castle ❤. You’re so right about having your own quality tools maintenance is the key I still have most of my tools that I purchased in the 1990s I give them regular maintenance and try and keep them clean, I don’t have lots of money so I don’t really enjoy paying someone else to do work.
Unfortunately he will not really remember, he is to young but it will create a deep bond with where he grew up and how he connects with people, nature and animals.
What a super vlog watching Odin a crowd pleaser from comments Hopefully your wood will last you the season it stacks like a work of art & yes an annual photo of Odin I hope your drainage ditch is successful The pancakes looked so delicious 😋 Thank you for sharing your life with me it’s a pleasure every week 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Groeten Alex vanuit Lalandusse.
I live in southwest Idaho, here in the U.S. We have to water everything, all summer or it will all die, well, everything except the weeds. I find it interesting to view your area and see places that get enough (maybe too much) rain. I very much enjoy your videos. Thank you for them.
I love the respect you have for your land, you have certainly got your moneys worth buying the tipper and grader, the property is looking amazing well done both of you.
I have been watching your channel since the about the 2nd or 3rd month but this is my first comment. I just want to thank you both for your dedication to the stewardship of the land. It is heartwarming to me to see how much you care about the lands welfare. It has also been a joy watch Odin grow and "helping" with chores. He is a delight. Merry Christmas and Joyous New Year!
The Stihl 500 you mentioned is an awesome chainsaw, great choice, you will not regret it, the power actually makes it safer. It's literally like a hot knife through butter, and I'm talking about cutting through 20" trunks.
Lovely to see family stacking the wood, so important to spend time together and with a child doing things in the garden. Then cooking and sharing pancakes.
I've watched every video and I'm surprised you haven't got yourselfs a trailer to go behind the ride on mower for doing jobs like stacking logs. As always love the videos and Odin is a star.
The ideal one for you is the 36V HCU02ZX2 Cordless Chain Saw, The chain selection is more important than the blade length. It is always better to cut the tree gradually, the big blades are developed for professionals, for those who do the job of cutting open.
@ sometimes these warm winds even make it kind of scarier when they get stronger and you already know the weather could change quickly. That’s what the sound of the wind and the moving trees reminded me of. Standing outside till the last minute and you can already see the dark stormy clouds on the horizon or feel the first drops. I just wanted to mention this as I love this aspect in all of your videos. The moments to enjoy the view or sound of nature. The dog, the chickens, the wind in the fields. All that. 🫶🏻
Mniam, mniam! 😀 Pozdrowienia z Polski 🇵🇱
Another enjoyable video guys, over here in the UK, we had a few warm days also, very bizarre 😀 little Odin with his wheelchair with a log in was magic, he is getting so big. your tidy up before winter is coming on a treat ❤
I like that you say it's mid-november, we're in the tropics never done wood stacking, hope you do some grass mowing helping philippe a bit, awesome vids.
Hi guys. Love your channel and you Philip are a true master in only Gods know how many things. I am Nino and we are also have a channel with my wife called "somethinglikethis1", we are farmers. We moved to Sicily in 2020 and we start our adventure like you. I would like to give you only one piece of advice from experience...you have chickens running therefore you must have mice running which of course live in nature. To avoid mice at home for the future i suggest you to move the wood stack away from doors and windows, basically far from the house. Keep making good video guys and well done so far. Bye from Sicily
When I watch some Alaska survival channels, they sharpen the teeth of the chain saw blade with a special file. Have you tried to sharpen the blade on your chain saw? I will sharpen the blade on my lawnmower in the summer, and it cuts cleaner after I do. Here in America, too many parents put children in daycare, or use babysitters, so it is very good to see parents who are present and interacting with their children like you do with Odin. Have a very good week!
Pancakes in Norway are probably even thinner. Typical Saturday food alternately with porridge...especially if we are going to have pizza or tacos in the evening. Served with sugar and or blueberry jam and bacon.
Ohhh I just love your dog 🐕 she looks like a good watchdog. It's very satisfying to see things all neat and tidy, especially the woodpile. Do you have an idea of how much wood you need for the Winter months? Great job, thank you all. ❤ 🇨🇦
My grandmother was the daughter of a German immigrant and she made what all my relatives called grandma pancakes, and they was very similar if not the same as your what I refer to as egg pancakes, because there is a lot of eggs in the batter compared to so many other pancake batters.
Some lovely family moments in this video. Very heartwarming! Wishing all of you a happy and festive Christmas season 🎅🎄
Just so pleasant to watch. In a World full of turmoil, this is life at its very best. Thank you for letting us in.
Such a blessing you have, building a life making memories and a wonderful documentary of Odin growing and learning. Thank You for letting us join you.

Odin saying 'Bravo" is too cute
Nice job guys. Great stacking technic PaPa. Odin was so cute sitting on top of wood pile. Should take that photo every year Momma.❤
I get such enjoyment watching Odin. I miss having little ones in my family. It’s constant work on your farm. You both work hard. You are such a lovely family.
Oh Odin you melt my heart.❤ such a beautiful little boy.
It's always wonderful to watch you couple with Odin, following Papa and Mama, put himself to memory basket of life cycle 🙏🫰
You both take excellent care of your tools and equipment. Very respectable. 👍👍👍
In not much more than a year you have both grown this channel to great height ! Keep up the good work - love your channel !
Odin is very lucky to have parents like you in 2024, passez de bonnes fêtes de fin d'année et bravo pour ce que vous avez déja fait.
These videos keep me so happy…. Love Odin and watching him grow Yor so blessed.. thank you
The pancakes looked like delicious crepes 😊❤

Best place in the world for a kid to grow...
Thank you, it’s always a pleasure 😊

Hi! The wood stacks are perfect. Favorite part: Photo of Odin on the wood stack. 😊.
OH YES, Young King on its throne. Thank you.😉😊😊😊😊
Bon courage and stay safe.👍👍👍👍👍

Papa helping Odin with his little wheelbarrow
mini Filip transferring woods was cute,
STIHL is a solid decision, especially long-term wise! The words MADE IN GERMANY have a deep and honest meaning! Good choice!
We bought the 500i, used it once already and the power is amazing 🫣
Pre-maintenance is much better than having to make repairs. Nice woodpile, to keep the home warm.
Adorable little man. I bet he has some hearty naps with all the fresh air. No wonder he's eating plenty of crepes! Feels so good to be prepared for winter, putting the property to bed. I appreciate your organization.

Enjoying this channel from Kenya, Great works.
Very good job in your farm. You are a nice coople and Odin is so sweet boy. Thanks for divide with us!!!

Better to pay a bit more but have something that lasts indeed years on end!

In USA we call those crepes, delicious either way!
Odin as an awesome child yrs he'll remember these good old later in life 😊
Unfortunately he will not really remember, he is to young but it will create a deep bond with where he grew up and how he connects with people, nature and animals.
What a super vlog watching Odin a crowd pleaser from comments

Looks Very similar to crepes! Everything is coming along very nicely. God bless you all, Keep up the good work!
You amaze us all! And a belated Very Happy Birthday to Odin! ❤
Your stacks of wood are very impressive! Should keep you warm for several winters ☺️
“Hallo mama!” 🥰

Actually USA is semi desert. If you do no have some rain in spring, forget the garden.
Nice wood piles. I love how well you do work.
Loved watching again. What a good life for a little boy. ❤
I love the respect you have for your land, you have certainly got your moneys worth buying the tipper and grader, the property is looking amazing well done both of you.
ohh, en Odin een echt jongenskapsel. Was weer gezellig filmpje. Bedankt en tot volgende week
Great progress
I admired these two couples who are hard workers and intelligent

That definitely was worth a picture!
Stacking wood is so satisfying! ❤
Thanks for your vid 😇💟💟💟 Love and bless you guys 🙏💞 good work 👍😁.
I know there is a never ending amount of work on a large property, but you must look out and be so happy with all that you have done! 😊
Very nice thinking about the gate around the fire place.
Lovely to see family stacking the wood, so important to spend time together and with a child doing things in the garden. Then cooking and sharing pancakes.
Always a pleasure to watch your videos. You have a beautiful family and a beautiful place to live. 👍👍😊❤️
Your chickens are so adorable. I think they love you!
I've watched every video and I'm surprised you haven't got yourselfs a trailer to go behind the ride on mower for doing jobs like stacking logs.
As always love the videos and Odin is a star.
The ride on mower wouldnt like it very much, but we should have taken the dumper but we didnt think about it.
I suggested getting the same thing for the mover. Better to also cut and split next to your pallets for stacking.
The ideal one for you is the 36V HCU02ZX2 Cordless Chain Saw, The chain selection is more important than the blade length. It is always better to cut the tree gradually, the big blades are developed for professionals, for those who do the job of cutting open.
Good morning Odin and the family, hope not so cold for you guys in this winter🐞🐝🦥
I enjoyed the sound of the wind. Especially as it gives the urgent feeling you have to get inside but there’s still work to finish.
It was very windy but it came from the south so it was nice and warm 🤗but we had to get the wood done because one of the next day was rain.
@ sometimes these warm winds even make it kind of scarier when they get stronger and you already know the weather could change quickly. ❤❤❤ love watching your channel. Thanks for sharing!!!❤❤❤
Thanks for watching!
Great video. Well done. Every week property is looking better and better.
The cages IBC totes come in are a good idea for storing wood, very easy to move around if needed, Merry Christmas to you all.
I like that you say it's mid-november, we're in the tropics never done wood stacking, hope you do some grass mowing helping philippe a bit, awesome vids.
Odin makes the videos much more lively 🤭😂 , enjoyed watching your progress .

In South Africa & Namibia, we mix cinnamon and sugar, which we sprinkle generously on the pancake before rolling it up and eating frOM one end. YUM!
Beautiful photo of Odin on the wood stack. I’m pleased to see you had some good weather (I won’t mention we’re enjoying the summer over here ;-) )

Odin wii likely want a go cart before too long. Papa’s mechanic / carpenter’s helper.
Nicely done with the wood stacking. They all looked very neat and tidy.
Thx Peter, it is satisfying to stack them properly 🤗
@ And people can see what a good job you’ve done, and if you haven’t pull the sheet over a bit more :D
This is how i make too🙌
Love from India❤
We have pancakes like that in the Uk, served with sugar and lemon juice, 👍
Pancakes in Norway are probably even thinner. Typical Saturday food alternately with porridge...especially if we are going to have pizza or tacos in the evening. Served with sugar and or blueberry jam and bacon.
Happy holidays! 🎄❤
In America, we would refer to your pancakes as Crepes, either way, they sure did look mighty tasty.
Nameste 🙏 from India, berhampur town, odisha 🌹☕🙏
odin scored! 🎉
This video come ealry was expecting it to be later today i dont mind that love it
Do somthing about that tractor that will help alot

Great looking Thumbnail there,
Great upload
I love your videos!
saw the transition at 5:58 damn smooth
I love your videos guys
I've always thought of tools as n investment and always feel good about buying them.
Haha i always feel good when owning and caring for tools 🤗
Bro living my dream life ❤
Magnifique vidéo !
I've seen people stack wood inside steel cages from 1 cubic meter IBC tanks. That way you can stack them or move them with excavator with ease
Love too watching your videos good job. Chin
