Cost wise, how does the Westchester compare with the H3? Westchester has really nice hardware, with a tall enough bottom rail to add a traditional handle, whereas in the H3 has the added complexity (and benefits) of the vinyl mid layer. Hi. Thanks for this detailed information. We are in Colorado, building a 9K sq ft. home with a ton of windows in it. There are two things I am struggling with -- 1. What is the best way to finish the interior, wood portion of the window given that Colorado is very dry, and we run a beefy humidifier in the house as a result. We have ruined the casing and sills because of this in the past. -- 2. Are there any options for privacy on the glass so that we don't need to have the blinds and drapes drawn?
Hey Nathan! Thanks for the comment! I am in NJ and our climate is very different compared to yours. I would recommend talking with a local painter. Regarding glass options, they do offer obscure and decorative glass options.
Great video. I think comparing the Marvin Elevate to the Westchester is like comparing Apples and Oranges. The Westchester I would say would be between the Elevate and the Magnum in terms of quality, features, etc. The Sierra Pacific Westchester sill is made of Vinyl, just like the H3's.
Hey Aaron! Thanks for the comment. I agree that they aren't apples to apples. This video was made for a client who wanted something more but was concerned about budget. The architect wasn't a fan of H3 and the client needed a solution. They went with the Westchester.
