    I wish you were in NY. I had my eye Restylane done by a doctor here in NY and it came out horrible. After 5 weeks I have a huge blue lump under my right eye and a ridge under my left eye. I went back to show him and he says he sees nothing wrong I look fine. I'm going to another doctor this Wed to see if he can somehow make it look a little better so I don't have to live with this for the next year.

      Sorry to hear you had a poor experience with dermal fillers! Often blue tinting on the skin is caused by injecting dermal filler to superficially but luckily, many fillers are 100% reversible. I wish you luck with the new injector!

    Hello Doctor
    Do you know teosyal redensity 2? I had it under eyes 2 years ago and I've been left with a worsening of tear trough darkness since that day. No swelling, no edema, just the dark of tear trough worsened, darker. I think it's tyndall effect.
    I am afraid having hyaluronidase cause I read a lot of stories of people left with skin damage and indentation, expecially when treated in delicate under eye are with hyaluronidase.
    But I've been waiting 2 years and it still doesn't solve.
    Knowing my type of filler, do you think It will ever completely dissolve by itsown or it could stay there with related discoloration forever?
    And again, if it is a real tyndall effect, do you think hyaluronidase could fix it even after 2 years or 2 years and half, or when it's been so much time with a tyndall discoloration problem skin it's used to be with this by know and hyaluronidase could dissolve filler but darkness stays?

    • @DavidMabrieMD
      @DavidMabrieMD  3 роки тому

      Hi Ma,
      The Tyndall Effect occurs when the filler is placed subcutaneously, instead of sub muscularly. We suggest to consult with your injector and have it dissolved with hyaluronidase. It can be done at any time 2 weeks later or 4 years later.
      We hope this is helpful.

    Hi! I got HA fillers and now I'm looking for someone who is able to dissolve them. I got lumps under both eyes and Tyndell effect. I was wondering if when Hyluronidase is applied to "dissolve" the HA could that liquid be drained out of the skin through cannula or sth. I've read a few many cases in which people got the enzyme and their skin was damaged forever :( I wish I had never gotten hyaluronic acid fillers.

      Hi,
      Yes patients frequently ask if Hylenex (hyaluronidase) will affect the skin. I have not seen this happen in my practice. The body makes small levels of hyaluronic acid daily. This free hyaluronic acid only lasts a few days before it is replaced by newly made hyaluronic acid. Injectable hylenex does temporarily affect the skin laxity as it decrease this hyaluronic acid, however over the next few days the hyaluronic acid is replaced. I use a lot of hyaluronidase (Hylenex) and I have never seen it permanently affect the skin.
      We hope this is helpful.

    I had my Juvederm filler under my eyes injected with hyaluronidase 5 times and over 2 years later, the filler is still there. Meanwhile it ate some of my own tissue so I'm wrinkled and indented in spots. What do I do?

      Josh, patients frequently ask if Hylenex (hyaluronidase) will permanently decrease their own natural hyaluronic acid. I have not seen this happen in my practice. What if swelling is still with you three years after the redensity for tear troughs?

    • @DavidMabrieMD
      @DavidMabrieMD  3 роки тому

      Helen, if you experience delayed swelling contact your injector. Most dermal fillers can be dissolved. We would inject an enzyme called Hylenex that breaks down the filler material and turns it into water and gets absorbed by the body.
      REVERSIBLE FILLERS
      Hyaluronic Acid filler from the Restylane and Juvederm family, Belotero, Revanesse Versa.

      NOT REVERSIBLE
      Radiesse, Bellafill (Artefill), and Sculptra
      We hope this is helpful.

      Sujata, do you know what kind of filler was used? Swelling after filler injections are normal and usually goes down within 24 to 48 hours after treatment. Should swelling persist you should contact your injector.

    Hi, I got mine done a year ago and I have a Tyndall effect. Is that even possible even after a year?

    • @DavidMabrieMD
      @DavidMabrieMD  5 років тому +2

      Hi Jenny, the tyndall effect describes the blue coloration of filler when it is seen through skin. Even though the filler is clear, it looks blue when seen through the skin, this is an effect described by someone named Tyndall. It was first described when filler was place intradermally in the nasolabial folds. We now see it sometimes under the eyes when the filler is placed subcutaneously, instead of sub muscularly.
      The awesome thing is that it is easily treated with hyaluronidase, which is one of the cool things about using HA fillers like Restylane, Juvederm, and Voluma. It can be done at any time 2 weeks later or 4 years later. And yes, sometimes fillers can stick around up to four years when places intradermally or subcutaneously.
      I hope this was helpful.

      Hi Kristina, apologies for the late response. Has the swelling come down? If you are still experiencing swelling, you should consult with
      the treating injector. If needed, Hyaluronidase can be placed at the locations of your injections that would dissolve the filler.

    Do you prefer to inject the filler by cannula or by direct injection?

    • @DavidMabrieMD
      @DavidMabrieMD  6 років тому +1

      Hi Jasim! I use a microcannula to minimize bruising and other tissue trauma during facial filler injections. Treatment with the cannula requires only one small poke with a needle, allowing the cannula to reach multiple areas of the face with less risk of damaging blood vessels.
