Seville (Sevilla) is the largest city of the Spanish autonomous community of Andalusia in the southwest of the Iberian Peninsula, with a population of 700,000.
Seville was founded as the Roman city of Hispalis. It was conquered by Muslims in 711, and reincorporated to the Crown of Castile in 1248 as the result of the Reconquista. Owing to its role as gateway of the Spanish Empire's trans-Atlantic trade, Seville became one of the largest cities in Western Europe in the 16th century. The 17th century in Seville represented the golden age of the city, with such impressive structures as the Seville Cathedral being built.
The 20th century in Seville saw decisive cultural milestones such as the Ibero-American Exposition of 1929 when Plaza de Espana was built. By the 21st century Seville has become one of the prime tourist destinations of Spain.

Explore Seville Spain, the home of flamenco, the largest cathedral, the prettiest park and square. There will be a separate video of the Cathedral later... LIKE, SHARE and SUBSCRIBE, leave a COMMENT too.

Finished the entire video. Very nice tour of so many interesting sights. I noticed you got three "waves" from locals evenly spread though the 2.5 hours video. Nice to see that, too.

Good to see & hear your walks fully back in action in Europe here in Spain again! Though I've visited Spain many times (while on military duty, mostly on its Atlantic & Med coasts), I've never seen these sights of Seville. Beautiful. Your equipment remains one of the very best of any such producer on social media. I heard the music (violin) and wrongly thought it was a piece from Zimmer's soundtrack for the movie "Gladiator." But alas it was not so even though the main character General Maximus was called "the Spaniard" in that movie. [BTW - It was from another epic screen story of the struggle between Scotland and England led by John Wallace -- James Horner's soundtrack for "Braveheart." Oh well.] Your sub-titles really make this a tour which inspires an in-person visit to this beautiful city. THANKS.

Glad to see you back, Wayne! You are my most faithful commenter. Just wait till you see the interior of the Cathedral... I'm preparing a one hour video just on that. The song was indeed there, but I removed it for copyright reasons, so instead you hear the same track (modified) on the way up and on the way down too.

@@walkandcamera Glad to hear of your careful use of recorded materials - video & sound - well done, as always. I look forward to seeing the closeup in the cathedral. I had no idea Seville has the largest Gothic building ever built. Too bad you don't have an easy path to jointly brand a tour with someone like Rick Steves. Imagine having Rick help curate & speak in a city tour video which you record and he co-produces a dual release on his channel too. Keep up this great work. BTW - Your nighttime walk in Venice was wonderful switch into places not typical for the tourist. All Good.

@@waynecliburn2749 I am working on something on that line, but I can't say more...
