I hope you guys like this natural hair series!!!!! I'm really excited that I'm natural now! WHAT DO YOU THINK MY HAIR TEXTURE IS? 4 what because I'm trying to figure this thing on out😂
Finally happy to see a tutorial on shorter hair that turned out beautiful ❣️ This is more realistic to me. It’s always easier to make your hair look good when it’s long. I hate those videos of girls with long hair that don’t need extensions bragging about adding hair. You did a wonderful job with the cheap hair 👍🏽.
Medium long hair struggles are real too 😂😂 it takes just as much effort to style hair etc. It's just as hard to find a medium style like my own that does anything but conrows and buns
Love the video! Small tip: to stretch the hair cut the hair in half to give you more out of the hair since your cutting it anyways ... it saves you a bunch of $$ 😊♥️ instead of using 5 or 6 packs you only need 2 maybe 3 💪🏽
Who else feels like they can smell the hair burning as she lights it??... this was how we used to do it back in the day. Hair was always sticking to your shirt. Lol 😂
I recently did this style and LOVED IT! one its doesn't take FOREVER and two once you add the jewels POP that thang looks so good! this style looks great on you!
I wear box braids since 2017 , I LOVE IT , we have the freedom to decide the color , product , size , etc and everyday I'm learning new methods of braiding the hair and it's really good to watch those videos.
super cute super cute super cute! And man did you have a ton of patience to achieve that look! You ought to get a bunch of thumbs up just on the strength of how much patience you had to have to get that!!😊😊

Hey Woman. You knocked it out the box with this one. Excellent tutorial, clear easy to follow and very encouraging for us 4c women with under 5 inches of hair. Was desperately looking for something new and jazzy for me. I'm dedicating this one to Michael Jackson because "This Is It." Much love and blessings.
Im so glad you are here!!! My hair is about your length shorter in some places longer in others, and Im really excited to try this now!!!! Great job!!! Very beautiful too!
These look really amazing 😉. Kudos to you for doing it on your own head btw. I’ve been doing my own hair since I was freakin 13 and people do not understand the struggle enough 😂 of adding braiding hair to your own head. Especially when your natural 🤗💜💯
i did mine a little lower like shoulder length so i had to use hot water, but i loved this, this was really nice for me to follow especially because i do a lot of sport at school so having a nice really cute but short hairstyle is so cool!
I don’t want to be the one to hair discriminate, but I’m so happy someone with shorter hair made this vid😭😭seeing people with long hair just doesn’t give me what I’m looking for if that makes sense😂(All hair is beautiful I’m not tryna come off wrong or anything💯) but this was so pretty 😍😍😍!!!!
I absolutely love the look. You did a great job. It's nice & simple. I will definitely attempt this look. BTW, what brand and style lashes do you use? They look "fab".
I like hicks it’s good on natural hair and it doesn’t flake. If you dip your braids in hot water it will make them more soft and pliable then moose and tie down and blow dry for about 15 minutes makes all the difference!
What is really nice about this is that the braids aren't perfect and you make the same mistakes I do when I try to do box braids but you find ways to fix them and it works. I usually get really frustrated and flustered and end up stopping.
Did anyone else smell the kanekalon burning smell through the screen when she heated it? LOL Ahh this brings back childhood memories. Great job girlie! It looks beautiful!!
You should’ve cut the hair in half then stretched it so you didn’t have to waste so much hair but this cute I wish I could do this style but my hair too long for it I’m tryna think of a way to still do it tho any ideas lmk
I think you did a very good job i have short hair as well and i have never braided my own hair and i just so happen to have 3 packs of braiding hair in my closet and some hair jewlery from my daughters barrettes bin so this should hold me up for a while with this covid-19 going on im afraid to go get my hair done by anyone right now. Thanks for the idea and God bless
What id like to know is, if you use a booster to make your braids look more polished, does the booster not start to look flakey after a couple of days? And doesn't that then force you to undo the braids earlier
You look beautiful and I feel you did a great job! If you do not mind me suggesting. If you are to ever rock this style again. To avoid loosing braids or worried big braids would slide off. Just do you normal steps just use a hook to pull the hair under your ponytails then braid as normal. Braids will only come out when your ready. Oh and a thermal glove so not to rubber and the ends🔥instead. Good day and I enjoyed the video 😍
It doesn’t look like she did in the video but did you set the braids in boiling water? Or is it not necessary for a style of this length? Great tutorial btw this is one of my favorite go-to hairstyles. Ya girl be looking like Libby from Jimmy Neutron and we all know she was a queen 😌
Girl, Murray's brand Edge Control Super or Extreme hold...is really good but the regular hold works too! Use on dry hair first if u need some moisture add water Ect. After you initially apply it, works the Bomb! Haven't found anything as Good. Usually buy it at Walgreens or Rite Aid not sure if its at the Beauty Supply store an also regular orange tin can Murray's thick grease guys use for waves works bomb but can cake up so after few days of use wash or just don't use whole lot. But yes check it out..its the Truth! Lol
I hope you guys like this natural hair series!!!!! I'm really excited that I'm natural now! WHAT DO YOU THINK MY HAIR TEXTURE IS? 4 what because I'm trying to figure this thing on out😂
Probably a mixture of 4c/4b.
@@tuliplee3924 I agree. 4B/4C
When you put the curling smoothie, it looks like a 4A/4B combo. But you could possibly have some 4C hair sections.
Definitely looks like 4C
@@tuliplee3924 Okay, I have to look this up lol Thank you!

Adding hair isnt only for length but it's also for thickness
True that sis ...she really came through with her video
really like the parts were clean and what not she really did serve here 💓
Great job 😊
Love the video! Small tip: to stretch the hair cut the hair in half to give you more out of the hair since your cutting it anyways ... it saves you a bunch of $$ 😊♥️ instead of using 5 or 6 packs you only need 2 maybe 3 💪🏽
I was totally wondering what inches I should get! Thank you!!!
I love that comment that you suggest doing the front when you're not tired, that's such good advice.
Who else feels like they can smell the hair burning as she lights it??... this was how we used to do it back in the day. Hair was always sticking to your shirt. Lol 😂
Tyreva Chantel big facts sis
Ooh I used to hate that. Especially with sweaters 🤣
Right lfutrell82 glad we got pre stretched hair these days 😂😭 !!!
I haven’t even made it to that part of the video, but I could smell it as I read your comment 😂
Omg and burning your fingers lord! Flashback
I recently did this style and LOVED IT! one its doesn't take FOREVER and two once you add the jewels POP that thang looks so good! this style looks great on you!
Tiffany Worthington do you know how long this style lasts?

I wear box braids since 2017 , I LOVE IT , we have the freedom to decide the color , product , size , etc and everyday I'm learning new methods of braiding the hair and it's really good to watch those videos.

Best tutorial EVER! I want to do this look and I was wondering how many rows you did and how many braids on them?
Try the beeswax edge control, works a lot better than the others.
Okay thanks! I have that too!
I agree. When I'm doing my hair or others hair I use bees wax and comb it through
Yup
Thanks for this
This girl just used the beeswax stuff on my knotless braids and my scalp is white. Idk if she used too much or what but...pew lol.
I appreciate you uploading this video because I'm going to do my daughter's hair like this for school. You just gave me an idea.
Im so glad you are here!!! My hair is about your length shorter in some places longer in others, and Im really excited to try this now!!!! Great job!!! Very beautiful too!
Your hair looks great. My arms are hurting from watching you do all those braids. Next time can you show the technique of adding the hair?
I really like it...I use to get this braid style all the time back in the 90's. You did a great job to do it yourself...Thumbs UP!
I found your video randomly as I’m doing my hair and now I’m fake way tempted to do this bob look
I'm impressed. Great job baby!!!! I can try this because I don't know how to do the other braids.
I really enjoyed this video it was so easy to get and the braids look amazing, how many packs of hair extensions did you use?
These look really amazing 😉. Kudos to you for doing it on your own head btw. I’ve been doing my own hair since I was freakin 13 and people do not understand the struggle enough 😂 of adding braiding hair to your own head. Especially when your natural 🤗💜💯
Instead Of "Destiny Lashae Makeup" in all reality it should legit be "Destiny La'SLAY Makeup" cuz honeeeyyyyyyy 🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾😌😌😌😍😍😍💯💯💯
i did mine a little lower like shoulder length so i had to use hot water, but i loved this, this was really nice for me to follow especially because i do a lot of sport at school so having a nice really cute but short hairstyle is so cool!
Cute hair style! The Main Choice Growth Stimulating edge control is really good too.
This looks great and I am eager to try it!!! Great job!!! It looks so simple, also how many packs of hair did you use?
I absolutely love your personality and your thorough way of explaining the process. New Subscriber! 💖
Thank you! Welcome to the fam sis!
@@DestinyLashaeMakeup Thanks! 😊💖
Great job!!! When my hair gets longer I will definitely be doing THIS!!
I love these 😍😍 how many packs of hair did you use ?
Good job! Beautiful bless ya! I do me nd my daughters also! It's a blessing to do ur own! Thank God for the talent and I love to do hair!

You look nice with this braids. wish I can do my own hair.
Love your realness. It's refreshing.😍😊
I like hicks it’s good on natural hair and it doesn’t flake. If you dip your braids in hot water it will make them more soft and pliable then moose and tie down and blow dry for about 15 minutes makes all the difference!
Shine n Jam or bee wax edges control is the best for braiding! Especially if you have natural hair.
That's what I use for my braiding.
Want this style!! Especially now amazing!
Hi sis @11:47 since you said you used 1 pack for 3 braids I think I'll use 10 packs, love the result 🤗
This is beautiful imma try this tomorrow but how many braids did you use please ❤️❤️❤️
This is a really cute style I’m gonna try it. But do the Knotless box braid Method. Thanks for the inspiration 🤙🏾🤙🏾😍
Jalynn XYZ can you post the results...I’d like to see your knotless method
You better be BEAUTIFUL🙌🏼. Giving all kinds of 90’s swag!!
How long did this style last for you and did any of the braids slip out in the back? It looks cute.
Make up just did it's magic! Before and after 😳😳😳
It’s crazy how much makeup can change somebody
The power of makeup
I love this style. It looks very good on you
She bomb edge control works wonderful on thick natural hair
Great video beautiful job
Love the finished touches!!
I think you mean you like your braids staggered/staggered manner or in an alternating fashion.
These are cute ❤️ the hair accessories make it look even better!!!
I love the jewels you put on it and I can’t wait to put jewels on mine. I want mine to be gold.
Thank you for being so raw with us . I really appreciate it
What is really nice about this is that the braids aren't perfect and you make the same mistakes I do when I try to do box braids but you find ways to fix them and it works. I usually get really frustrated and flustered and end up stopping.
Your hair looks so good 😍😍😍
Yoo that’s the best hair tutorial I ever seen
Thank you!
It's cute to see you try different styles with your natural hair. Maybe we'll see a twistout or braidout soon 👀👀
Is there a reason you didn't cut the hair extension so there's less wasted?
It’s hot in the south & I love braids ima try this today in burgundy.
Hey Destiny! I must say that your skin looks good. Keep up the good work!
So I have a question, the bands dont break your hair or like twist up the hair and it will be hard to remove ?
Loving the length!!. This is super cute on you. The style also compliments your face!
Thank you so much!!
Great job! Especially for us beginners learning to try at our own hair.
Did anyone else smell the kanekalon burning smell through the screen when she heated it? LOL Ahh this brings back childhood memories. Great job girlie! It looks beautiful!!
Such a cute finished look. 😳 And your skin looks great!!
Yes hi I have a question for you you’re braids are cute and I have a question for you could people still get braids even though their hair is short
Any eco mixed with got2bglued is great for edges
I never comment, but I love this. I love how raw you are. Great job sis 👍🏾and you hair is nice 👌🏾
Cute 😘😘 gona do my daughter hair like this it her first year in the high school 🥴
That's really sweet of you to do for your daughter! You sound like a really nice mom🥰❤️
how many packs of hair did u need 🤔
Monna’e e cut the hair in half and stretch and you only probably need about 3 maybe 4 depends on how big your head is and how big you want the braids
Oh Yassss!! What lippie are you wearing in the thumbnail?
You should’ve cut the hair in half then stretched it so you didn’t have to waste so much hair but this cute I wish I could do this style but my hair too long for it I’m tryna think of a way to still do it tho any ideas lmk
Congratz on Your Big Chop Mamaz! 🎊🎂🎁🍰🎈🎉 Enjoy your journey!!!

Bricklay is the part style, great video😁
I think you did a very good job i have short hair as well and i have never braided my own hair and i just so happen to have 3 packs of braiding hair in my closet and some hair jewlery from my daughters barrettes bin so this should hold me up for a while with this covid-19 going on im afraid to go get my hair done by anyone right now. Thanks for the idea and God bless
Did a GOOD JOB I WANT TO LEARN HOW TO DO MY OWN BRAIDS THIS WAS HELPFUL TO ME
yes Destiny!! I love when you do videos about natural hair 💓💓💓
I like making them! Thanks love!
This is sooo cute. Not everyone can pull this one off so Good Job Girl!! 👌🏾👌🏾
What id like to know is, if you use a booster to make your braids look more polished, does the booster not start to look flakey after a couple of days? And doesn't that then force you to undo the braids earlier
Please show us how you did your eyebrows your makeup looks great on you!!
You're so skillful with your fingers❣️😲

Real cute boo!! Great job for ya first time sis
You did that gurl!!! Nice job
your really good at this
1:20... I'm so glad I'm not the only one who makes these kind of faces when I'm doing my hair. 😄
Love your vids girl keep up the good work 😻
Thank you!!!!
Your brows >>>
I don’t really like box braids since I’ve tried Knotless. Simply because box braids are painful. Is the rubber band method less painful?
I like it!!! Super cute!!!
I really like. Did you burn the tips?
Love love LOVE YOUR MAKE UP!
How did u cut and burn the back? Always wanted short braids. Cooler😊
You like the “brick layering” method of parting.
Girl, Murray's brand Edge Control Super or Extreme hold...is really good but the regular hold works too! Use on dry hair first if u need some moisture add water Ect. I’m in the process of growing my hair, will the rubber bands cause breakage?
Akira S no but you can soak them in oil before applying
Oil soak that’s a good idea, thank you
This series it’s gonna help me so much. Tks girl! 💕
I💜the lipstick color!
