    You have been so inspiring, I also live in Houston and have complete my CNA, I just need to take my skills, but I started Nursing school last year for my BSN. I want to pass the CNA skills because I feel it will help me, I haven’t been able to get a healthcare job because I have no experience (until I do my skill).
    I am thinking of changing nursing schools as well or doing LVN to RN.
    My program is accelerated and so expensive. I need to work and also the experience you are getting is so beneficial.
    Anyway thank you for posting cuz I really been down lately. People don’t understand nursing school unless your in it. We all have to support each other in our studies.

    I’m in school for my Lpn
    I work in both Geri psych and mental health which is just for the younger population
    The MD is a psychiatrist not sure what a NP would do on that unit
    But the unit is therapeutic not a jail people have autonomy and rights they need meds support rest and recovery
    The older crowd may be more medically complex as opposed to the younger population
    The younger crowd may resonate more with treatment and therapy because they may not have dementia etc
    I enjoy it but it comes with its challenges as all roles do
    I’m a social worker by the way

      Omg, there’s so much that goes into it. And you’re also in LVN school. You got this, you’re going to do great.

      Just curious, do you have your bachelors or masters in social worker? I ask because I was debating on going to school for social work or nursing. If you do have a degree in social worker, what made you want to switch to nursing?

    I knew i recognized the M on your badge in another video. I live in Houston and currently in a CNA program. I plan to apply to a hospital after getting my certification. Methodist has always been where i would like to work.
    After going back to school since 2017, i am debating on whether going from CNA to LVN to RN or straight from CNA to RN. I've always wanted to be a RN, but i think i may take it step by step. I do have a 6 month old daughter, so from what i've heard that will probably be the best step.

    Congratulations🎊🥳🥳, I have a question about healthcare. I been thinking about going into STNA can you tell me the difference between CNA and STNA.. I do believe STNA work in nursing homes. Which one do you recommend? I can’t find any videos on it. I don’t know which is the best option between phlebotomy, CNA or STNA

    • @auhneja2164
      @auhneja2164  6 місяців тому

      Thank you 🫶🏾 and after looking up, STNA, it looks very similar to certified nursing aid. However, on deciding which one you should do, I really think you should look into them and ask yourself which certification would benefit me best for now and for what I want to do in the future.
