7 dollars for small box of flakey salt in the US. Now I’m here.
Thank you.
He does mean 1 litre everyone! Instead of water I used coffee and added vanilla paste to top off my chocolate chip cookies, it was great! Thank you.
This is the first time I've seen a vlogger actually replying to each and every question.
That means a lot!!
Encountered your channel by mistake and really happy with it.
Eagerly awaiting the Yoghurt Chips recipe today.
Best of luck!
I don't have time to reply to all but I try my best, especially for questions. Glad you like my work ;)
Thanks Chef for this super easy method to enhance the taste of any food that requires salt. I recently enjoyed a wonderful roasted chicken and potatoes at Fosters Hollywood in Tres Cantos, Spain and they used thin flakey salt which I've never seen before. Your recipe will help me to reproduce this meal for my family.
My dad made salt this way stovetop ❤ Memories 😊
I cannot believe this... I was actually thinking about this precise topic the other day, because I always struggle to find it where I live. 🤯
Happy to hear it, hope it helps
Amazing 😍 Greetings from Scotland 😊 Have a great day everyone 🌻
Hi chef! I didn't understeand what kind of pan I can use. Can you tell me? Thank you so much, I love your videos :)
You see the pan in the video
Cast iron, enamel coated or glass
Thank you for always teaching us excellent techniques. I wonder what recipes I could use these chips for?
They aren't chips. The are flakes of salt.
Use them for things you would use salt on top of.
(Used to replace Maldon's salt or Fleur de Sel)
@@mikeschilling3933 thanks😁👍
Very interesting. Can this be done with sea water ? I will give it a try.
The same technique would possibly work. You may need to reduce more than half depending on the salinity of the sea water. If flakes don't form, reduce more and try again.
Yes that is right
Wow ❤ Thanks for educating me.
Thank you!
It´s very good.
That's a lot of fun.
For sure ;)
Wow thank you that was great
Hi chef, i was wondering what you do with this salt? Is this for plating? Never seen it before.
Yes for plating, same as maldon salt for example
Always great ideas 💡
Chef - as always wonderful, I learn something new! Can parchment paper be used in the place of paper towels? I ask only so I can re-use the parchment when I make bread or other food needing parchment paper.
Thank you for your time spent making these fantastic videos.
Yes probably you can use it ;)
Chef, for every 200ml of water, is 100g of salt?
1l water, 200g of salt
Yoooooo this is insane

All business is basically about customers and marketing and making money and capitalism and winning and promoting it and having something someone really wants.
Máte skvělá vide jen je škoda že bez českých titulků 🤷
Tjn cas se naucit anglicky :p
are you using table salt?
Yes
My salt is settling in the bottom of the glass pan.
Yes that is normal just take it out carefully and dry it out
With all due respect, I think this video needs to remade as there seems to be a mistake... you say 100 liters of water requires 200g of salt, but then in your example you're using 2.5 liters of water and 500g of salt... just fyi
1 liter - 200 g salt. I used 2.5 liters and 500 g of salt. I said it probably wrong
@@ChefMajk Yes, I was thinking that wasn't right. 100 liters of waters is 26 US gallons. I think I might need a bigger pan for that lol
no.. okey i'll pay anyway
i think its much cheaper to buy flakey salt since the amount of water, salt and electricity/gas is too much.
Amount of water? 1l water cost basically nothing. But ok it can depend on what kind of salt you use and how good you are at making it
I'll just go and buy flakey salt 😂😂😂
Yes that is also the option :D
All of this so you don't have to spend 2.17 on a box of kosher salt
Kosher salt is something different...this is flaky salt but yes you can just buy it. This is for people who like to do things and have fun
Nice video!
Thx!
But:
You always sound like you are only exhaling when you are speaking and that make you sound a little bit manic.
Just talk calm and normal.
Just a lil advice 😉
You are not the first one who tries to give me advice on my speaking. But it is what it is, I do my best and I am even happy that I can speak English and people understand something 😄
@@ChefMajk Your easy to understand man, dont worry about the way you speak, perfectly clear!
