BEAUTIFUL bloom on your Opuntia humifusa Ziggy, its so good to still see blooms on the cacti at this time of year, thanks so much for sharing the beauty with us, and Hans and I are sending you and beautiful Jackie lots of love and happiness and PLANT POWER for a brilliant upcoming weekend XXXX
Lovely flower, Ziggy 😊 I've had some late blooms and others now coming into bud. Maybe we'll skip winter and get right back into spring 😁 Thank you for sharing with us as always my friend. Have a lovely day from Edith & myself to you & Jackie 🌵☀️🌸🌼🌺🏜
Lovely to get a late flower, thanks for sharing Ziggy. My outside Humifusa seedlings all seem to have laid down on the ground, maybe they're meant to do this. 🙂🌵💚
"The last Devil’s Tongue Cactus flower of 2024! 🌵🌸 It’s always bittersweet to see the final bloom, but what a beautiful moment to capture. Here’s to more stunning flowers next season!"
Opuntia humifusa is our native cactus. Our variety has a red center to the flowers. I have seen this cactus endure snow, Ice & below zero °F weather. Also survive wet weather during winter freezing . I consider this the best all around cactus!! Tough as nails!!! It always blooms profusely during the early summer. It's quite a sight!!! Wish we could grow oreocereus outside here! Thanks for sharing Ziggy!!! From Morris Park in the Ozarks, to the UK 🇬🇧 have a wonderful day!!! Peace, Love, Plants!!!✌️💖🌵🌻🍀🌷🌾🌴💐🌱🌹🌿🌸🪴🌳🏜😃👍
Is it Clyde? 😬 This one has been out in the snow, one winter it was minus 8c for a week but he's been fine, just slower growing than the ones inside. Only got one Oreocereus outside, I sell those for good money so don't want to risk too many 😁 Ta for having a look 😊😊🌵🌵
@@ZiggySearchfieldCactus Definitely yes, you can look back in some of my videos the last couple of summers. The super bloom is fantastic!!! And the fact that you don't have to baby it is a big plus!!! Fast growing here in its native habitat. With standing all weather!!! The only problem I've ever seen is a bit of rust. And a grub that is a moth larvae that eats the pads from the inside out. Great hardy plant!!! Peace, Love, Plants!!!
Hi Ziggy!😌🙌Beautiful bloom🤲💛I also enjoyed my humifusa in bloom. That surprises me that the fragilis didn't grow, it should have a lot of growth next Summer🙏
This video didn’t show up till after an hour of your posting it so I think UA-cam is playing up. ( I moaned they hadn’t posted my replies at 41 mins & then 1 of them showed at 48 mins- so very slow. Pleased that the slugs somehow missed this succulent opuntia flower!!🌵🌼
I think the AI is keeping an eye on us 😬I'm a mod on a few forums, some posts get put on hold until someone's had a look at them, make sure they're not subversive 😬Ta for having a look Diana 😊😊🌵🌵
