This song finally makes the vocals of the original clear, and in doing so, we hear that the first line in the song, this whole time, was "No More Cry." Look up the Armored Core 3 OST, and the menu music from the game, which is also sort of AC3's overture, is titled "no more cry." I think I get why this remix sounds the way it does now. Think back to AC3: DOVE (known as The Controller outside of Japan, or at least in the US) was malfunctioning, so you had only two options: One, let it destroy humanity and truly end the world as it was known; Two, destroy the Controller and leave humanity's fate with the Corporations that caused the very Great Disaster humanity had to take shelter from in the first place. Obviously, your choice was #2, and although Silent Line showed some level of peace as Earth was slowly being rebuilt, when Nexus starts, in strolls Navis, meddling with the other corporations' activities and monopolizing a useful, rare resource. Kisaragi, blinded by greed, teams up with Navis to get in on that dough as they try to topple Crest and Mirage, who both already have strong disagreements in resource sharing and territory. War is about to happen again, and DOVE, the Controller, is no longer able to regulate everything. Humanity's fate hung in the Corporations' balance, and here they were, dumb as ever, ready to make the same mistakes again over bitter rivalries. If another Disaster happened, if another extinction event came knocking on humanity's door... would they be able to survive it this time? The song takes a somber and melancholic tone, because it's highlighting the one horrible truth to Nexus' storyline: From Navis' introduction to their suicide drone attack at the end that DID send the world back to a Great Disaster, _there was never a good option for humanity's future, even in 3._ For what it's worth, though... you probably gave humanity the best chance it'd ever get again. Would humanity survive, or would the world end? Only time will tell. Only the Last Raven will know.
Gosh just remembering all of this is making my heart cry. This is why i think Gen 3 is the best. Like crap man, the overall story is incredible. Sad but enduring.
@@bunnyattic0009 I personally adore both 3's and 4's. It really makes the games feel a lot more meaningful, to show that you and you alone are powerful enough to not only police these uncaring entities yourself, but reduce their ability to fight you to ash and rubble if you so wish, all in an attempt to give humanity respite... and maybe one day, freedom.
well the whole thing is i've played all of them and the whole story is basically the world as we know it getting controlled by AI and when nexus begins the Armored core unit named Nexus (well in my case i called it nexus) decided that it's best to end the world because history will only just repeat it's self and eventually earth will be a wasteland again and by the end of the game nexus decides to die in order to destroy but save the world

Plutia chan They’ve said they’re interested in making another AC, but that worldwide appeal has to be a priority since FromSoft is so well-known now. So, I’d expect it to be a bit slower and more western mecha-like in the vein of Chromehounds. However, they did also say that they’re open to remastering older titles. I’d prefer that, really. I’d kill for a remaster of Last Raven with all the PSP parts added. That would also really appeal to the Soulsborne crowd who loves FromSoft’s hard-ass games.

To be honest, I think From Soft’s big break with Dark Souls was exactly what Armored Core needed to grow in the gaming community. The AC games were largely well-received by critics until Nexus started making things harder, but the games didn’t sell that well outside of Japan because mecha is kind of niche in the west. But once From Soft struck gold with Dark Souls and continued to make gold with the rest of Soulsborne, players now trust From Soft to make amazing games no matter the genre. Maybe there was a reason armored core never took off :/
@@anenemystand5582 This dude just said ".....Armored Core never took off"
You invalidated your own opinion but just in case, I'll put another nail in that coffin.
So when they "fixed" the D pad movement, the series went off the charts in popularity and skyrocketed to infamy? Oh wait no it didn't the series died off so horribly after V From Soft fucked off and never made another Armored Core game.
How many games had the D pad movement? Compared to the ones that didn't?
Break yourself chumponi.
@@Skycrusher releasing a bunch of half assed cheap reskins is not the same as "success" I meant what I said. Armored core never took off.
And yeah dpad sucked ass. Sorry that hurts your fragile feelings. Bad controls are bad controls even for games you like.
@@anenemystand5582 Oh, you're talking about From Software's "formula" for aping Capcom's Street Fighter "formula" for re releasing the same game over and over with little improvements over time?
Yeah can't argue with you there. I personally feel the controls were difficult, and complex, maybe even obtuse, but not bad.
Though, bad controls is subjective, and for the player that the controls feel bad, that is a valid deterimental factor in their eyes.
So which game, out of the AC franchise, did you find the most tolerable to play?
@@Skycrusher honestly I'm not sure. Weirdly enough the first one probably. But honestly that's just because that game requires the least fine music so you don't have to contend with the completely obtuse controls as much.
A little bit disappointed with this rendition. still ok though
