Never go to Portland in the winter. Always go to Portland in the summer and it has always rewarded. Its always beautiful in the summer with all the green and flowers. I really hope you go there in the warmer months and you will be enchanted.
This was a great video!! You are just lovely and I enjoyed all the sights you visited. The bare rose garden cracked me up! Definitely a different place in the spring🙂
Great content! Thanks for sharing - you DEFINITELY need to come back to see the rose garden in full bloom cause it is unbelievable! Good on you for having Small Pharoahs, I completely agree that the lamb shawarma is the best ever.
I live in KC (you're probably familiar with it based on your sweatshirt at the end!) but my family is in Oregon and we visit Portland all the time. Though, like any big city, you will see homeless people, my husband and I too haven't ever had any problems. It really breaks my heart, growing up in Portland, that people don't want to get out and explore. I am so glad that you and your friend did and had a great time. I am looking into taking a wine tour when we visit in a few weeks, based on your video. Thank you!
Hi Aimee, I totally agree. Most big cities are like this and I live right by SF, so I understand. I have friends who live in Portland who advised us NOT to stay downtown but we honestly felt safe and stuck to area with people around, daytime, etc. Enjoy the wine 🍷 tour!
Hi Eileen's.. Really loved ur video. Specially loved the restra part... I used to skip the video just to watch the food alone.. nice video... I felt like me and my hubby is travelling.. Every time I travel to a new place I end up in eating.. :P .. Keep sharing...
Aww, you visited maybe a month-6 weeks too early for the gardens. Hope you make it back when everything is in bloom... unless, of course, you have allergies.. Looks like you had a good time
Thanks Eileen- this was a great video. I just got a job in Portland and will be moving within a year, so a video like this is helpful to see different parts of the city :)
We were advised (by friends who live in Portland) not to stay in downtown but we did anyway. We felt safe and didn’t go out at night. There are a lot of homeless tents and people around but no one bothered us. This was in February so not sure how much has changed.
👋🏻 As 2 girls traveling we felt safe overall. During the daytime there are people out. Since we stared in downtown- we didn’t stay out after 8pm. I was advised to take an Uber if we want to go out at night. Hope that helps!

I think portland is gorgeous in the winter. it's so green, the summer is so brown and dry.
I'm visiting Portland for the first time this upcoming weekend and this video definitely helped me plan my trip. Thanks for the tips!
Let me know how the rose garden looks 😅. Have fun in Portland!
Excellent vlog! I’ll be going next month for my bday so this was so helpful ❤

Just two dudes enjoying Portland. The food looks so good at the brewery.
Dude bonding time is important
I used to take the Red Line to and from Pioneer Courthouse Square. It took less time than a taxi and a lot cheaper too. Love your video.
So great there!

Thank you for watching Margaret! Who knew roses didn’t grow all year long 😵💫
Had to watch my mouth water from leaking when that brunch was shown! My eyes counted something like 5000 calories there :)

Wow glad you enjoyed our city, I have to say I’m glad you were safe, we don’t even go downtown.
Yes we felt very safe during the day and avoided going out too late at night!
Me gusto mucho el video gracias.
Portland looks beautiful and your camera quality is so good. What camera do you use?
I use a DJI OSMO Pocket :)
Great video!

@@eileensworld hello
The city of Roses is now the city of drug addicts that are crazy people that might harm you...the homeless are NOT harmless...WATCH OUT!!!!!!!
The "grilled onions" comment tho! 🤤
Did I lie??!???! 😂
I don’t think I can eat most of that food, have no gallbladder and my stomach has irritation . Food looked so delicious
damn…sorry
Would love to visit there one day
If you like San Francisco and not worried about the homeless population, it’s worth a visit!
We are planning a move next year. Was it safe? There is so much in the news lately.

No you get shot probably
If felt like a good vlog
Did you encounter any homeless people?
There are many homeless people downtown and they all left us alone
@@eileensworldyou were lucky !
Nice Video......
Thanks….
Hello 👋👋👋👋
You forgot to include the 800 to 900 homeless tents that line the streets of Downtown Portland.
These videos are intended to stimulate tourism, and I am here to do the opposite.. watch out for hypodermic needles.. don't walk barefoot..)
Ever been to a city before?
@@FlyPurpleHipp.o I have lived in Portland for most of my life and : Chicago, Seattle, Pittsburgh, Philly...
@@richardlong6111 So you should be familiar with homelessness in cities
