Her Beau passed up medical school for the NFL. UCS accepted Simone. However, she decided to go professional instead. Having said this, they're not just athletic. They're intelligent as well.

@@TV-ob1if Would you say that if she retired early because of injuries? Or would you fault a Level 6 gymnast for not attempting elite moves? Because that's what this was. Even if the root of Simone's issues back then were mental, the FACT was that she was physically incapable of performing those moves since she could not figure out where she was in the air. If she'd attempted to do so, it would have been the same as a level 6 attempting elite. She'd have suffered a career-ending injury and cost her team a chance to medal.

She is extremely talented and maybe the best talent of our generation but she will never have my respect - nor the respect of millions of other Americans who value teamwork and dedication over the "me" generation.

Oh my goodness, what wonderful new to hear amid all this chaos. I'm so happy for Simone, who I loved from way back when she was just a little girl. She far exceeded even how far I thought she could go with all the negativity she had to deal with. That negativity only made her stronger. I wish more people would learn to deal with negativity as she does. When I saw her with Jonathan Owens, I prayed that their relationships would go the extra mile. They both seem to just fit together.
