Super clear and logically explained. Many thanks for this video.
I love whole sign houses i never ever found good use of dynamic house system. 14:00 - 15:36 brilliant explanation btw
i have so many questions vic thank you for always calmly answering me
Easy to understand. Thank you.
Cool Explanation, thank you
I was wondering about why the houses were in opposite order from the movement of the sun and you explained it.
I feel like the Campanus system doesnt precisely fit into your categories. As I understand it, Campanus takes the great circle of the east point, nadir, west point, and zenith from your time and place of birth and then divides that circle into 12 equal parts. So it is static in that sense. But then lines are drawn from each cusp towards the north point and where that lines crosses the ecliptic, that is the cusp of the house in the chart. I learned about this from Ernst Wilhelm. He said that he doesnt consider houses as areas of space, rather as points. So for example in my chart there is one cusp per house, one per sign. He would say that a planet in the eighth sign is conjunct the eighth house cusp, i.e., it is "in" the eighth house. So in that interpretation it isnt really dynamic, because the house isnt an area of space, just a point, though I do have some charts that have two house cusps per sign. I'm a beginner in astrology, so i dont have an opinion at the moment, I'm just trying to make sense of this. Using local space to define the houses, i.e., the areas of life, seems logical, but then so does using house=sign as you explained it.
This is a very good and clear explanation. Thank you
Finally, a clear explanation!
14:40 nice logic
Totally agree! The Whole Sign System is... Astrology. The rest are just “what if?”, in my opinion.
It always bugged me when I heard people say they have planets of 2 DIFFERENT signs in the ‘same house’... My answers is ‘you can’t’ 🤣
Same here. I agree. It drives me crazy when ppl say they have one sign in two different houses
Even though I feel the planetary placements on my tropical chart makes way more sense in Placidus I have to be careful since because I'm unenlightened my perceptions are could be flawed therefore I may not see my Karma correctly.
Therefore, in general, I tend to prefer more traditional systems like Whole Sign since that is what the ancient Vedic sages were using and also the great western astrologers of antiquity like Ptolemy and Hipparchus. Also, Static is more universal because if you live closer to the poles a dynamic house system chart would look really wacky.
You video is clear, concise and logical on why Whole Sign makes more sense so thank you for your immense knowledge in this matter. However I still like to use Placidus especially for placements of Uranus-Neptune-Pluto and other objects like Lilith, Chiron 😅 But I guess that's a whole other debate.
You are probably my favorite Vedic astrologer on youtube right now because you actually show the Vedic sources for what you are saying which is very professional!
I heard an astrologer say that she observed that Placidus was more the person's experience of what happens whereas, Whole Sign House is what happens on a mundane, tangible level. At the time I thought she may have been just saying that because she didn't want to invalidate the practice of astrologers who use Placidus, however your experience seems to indicate she was making an honest observation. Since most people want to know what is going to happen on a mundane level, and in my observation, Whole Sign House System does seem to jive for more people in respect of what happened externally, I prefer Whole Sign House System. But her observation may be why you find Placidus more relatable.
I have been going through many channels since recently to start with my interest in astrology .. Your Knowledge viewpoint and Vedic perspective on astrology I found quiet Interesting .. going through all your channel content thanks a lot for sharing your wisdom ..
Could you please clear my query .. Iam a Capricorn ascendant Will my Venus in 12th house Sagittarius conjunction along with Jupiter and mercury in Sagittarius , Venus goes to Lagna where my moon and mars is in lagna what result will Venus give 1st house or 12th house ..
Is parivartan yoga applies for Bhavas since my Venus forms parivartan yoga with Saturn in 10th libra in bhav Chalit
If I don't recommend Bhava Chalit, then why would I recommend a yoga that occurs only in Bhava Chalit? Also, you are not even reading the bhavchalit correctly, because people tend to use the same square or diamond style chart to draw it, instead of a circle, which makes it immensely confusing. Bhava Chalit never changes a planet's sign. It only can change the houses, having separated houses from signs.
Also, please try to use tropical rashi only, as this is the intended way. Please see vicdicara.com/tropical
Hi Vic, what does the Whole sign system use as the ASC for latitudes where their is no Sunrise for a period of time?
Whatever sign is on the horizon.
Hey Vic, you always say that nakshtra realm needs to be kept different from the zodiac belts. Sometimes ( in past) Ashwini could have been in Pisces or Taurus too. Then how to you relate all this to Sarvatobhadra Chakra ? Also in prashna we have decisions to be taken based on the letter of pad of nakshtra to guess the name of the thief etc. Which again first get linked to houses? Please help resolve this confusion.
the correlation of letters to nakshatra padas is not ancient or classical. it arises later, in more recent centuries. the ancient, classical system that it mutated from is that persons should be named according to the devata of their birthday's nakshatra. Sarvatobhadra is not found in any classic texts. It derives from Manasagari, 16th century text. It seems the author had a sidereal concept, which is not at all surprising in the 16th century in India.
Hey viC
Are planetary progressions mentioned in vedic astrology? or are they just a concept in western astrology.
India changes things very slowly😅😅😅
Best argument 😎
Like we always say, there is whole sign houses and all the rest is shit :D
