There's always progress made on the film, but I can't share everything. We are filming and modelling, which takes time

Simmons: (working the deli) Take a number, young man.
Leo: Robo-Warrior. (Simmons stopped, confused) You heard of him?
    Simmons: Never heard of him.
Leo: (as he follows Simmons) You never heard of the Real Effing Deal Dot Com?
Simmons: Ah, you must be talking about that amerture blog operation with that Gameboy level security.
Leo: (sneers) Robo-Warrior. (Someone comes in wearing a blue hoodie and a baseball hat) It's him! It's him! That's the guy right there! That's him!
Simmons: (his happy mood ruined at who he just saw) No...
Sam: (pulled off his hoodie) You gotta be kidding me.
Simmons: (WTF face) Alright! (dings the bell) Meat store's closed! Everybody out! Right now! That means you, lady, right now! (goes in between Sam and Leo)

The prequel novel to RoTF gives you a good scene with Simmons working at the deli and honestly it’s funny

Good discussion guys. I think the films reference g1 in a lot of subtle ways they don't get credit for. For example you mentioned megatron not having the arm cannon, but in tf 2 he got it and in tf1 his arms transformed together into a big cannon.
Also I personally think that tf 1 and 3 are objectively good from a film making standpoint all be it not perfect but a lot of the people that complain about these movies are the biggest hypocrites about their own sacred cows be it star wars, marvel, Dc or something more obscure so we should have no shame and celebrate what these films have accomplished technically and revitalized the franchise.
I also think as for the hasbro thing it is the marvel effect. Every studio wants to make there own cash cow cinematic universe and not take risks so hasbro are course correcting for a safer g1 pander and are unwilling to take those risks anymore. I'm not sure what it will take for creativity to thrive again in this age if corporate consolidation but we need to actively voice these concerns if we have any chance at all of being heard.
