Sorry if this is not relevant to 16-30 but Samson very much reminds me of Ollanius Pius from the siege of Terra. Samson had the Faith of God with him and stood strong against many philistines and died in his name still clinging on to the strength God gave him. It doesn't matter if you don't like it, but the Bible says that in his death Samson finally aligned himself with God's plan because by his repentance and the wish he made to God to know how to die taking the Philistines with him , God was able to accomplish his plan for him as Judge of Israel and struck down this people who were enemies of God, the Philistines. The Bible says that Samson at that time killed more Philistines once than he did in his entire life.
