Morality has nothing to do with it. I see the govt. as a service provider to its people who are the clients who pay taxes. We need someone to keep a check and can compete to provide better services to their constituents. More accountability/competition means we as people have more power and more choice. We have a lot of work to do - promote mass education , develop economically, remove poverty/hunger/malnourishment, bring females into workforce, develop infrastructure, develop institutions that promote medium and large scale businesses to create employment, clean the filth and pollution. All this can’t happen without someone asking questions and keeping a check. This is just one of the victories. We have a long way to go.

@@datsrohan you have nil knowledge on RTI. There is no change in RTI given to people. Apply an RTI now the same applied by someone in upa time. And cross check. You will find same. What the bill done is different. RTI head previously have status equal to the CJI. Other one having such status is CEO. And see their working. RTI can work unaffected even the head is absent or on leave for an year. No problem in giving info to people. Other IAS will be given temporary work and can be managed. But CJI and CEO can't go this way. They have complete different way of administration. So the power given itself was more than required by congress. Now BJP cut it off and gave power how much is required. Decrease of tenure also is good, because when more change of administers, more good thoughts and their ideas can come into picture.

Congress is now a specialist in scoring Self Goals. BJP is hardly getting time to play for a win.
Perfectly analysed Guptaji. You are a real journalist. Others have to learn from you how to be calm, presentable and analysing facts without any bias. There would be no harm if Congress party, their leaders and workers are called all sorts of names like headless chickens because though it is just a metaphor for reference purpose, it really reflects the situation of Congress leaders and workers now. Not that I am a Congress basher or BJP bhakt, but isn't it a real shame that Congress leaders are not knowing what they are doing and how to go about parties future. Can there be any sensible people who will keep digging their own pit and keep falling in the pit again and again without learning from mistakes or even trying to copy in good way seeing others. We used to be taught by our elders and teachers in our childhood among the many beautiful stories we learned that there was a character called Kalidas who was cutting the same branch with his axe in which he is seated. Many in India really wants a good constructive opposition to be there and their presence felt in Parliament because one party rule is not good for India, but then what do people do when we see opposition parties not ready to improve or come out of their groove or legacy and be a good party. Can the Congress leaders be so selfish to just concentrate on their survival inspite of earning so much wealth all these years. Can't they now atleast after knowing the pulse of people change themselves and be good leaders giving a good option to the people of India. Can't the Congress workers now shed of the mental slavery attitude towards Gandhi family and think of some new good leader among so many and keep the party alive. People are of the view now that its better that there is no opposition than having hopeless and good for nothing opposition.

What you said is right about dilution of article 370. Strength of this article had been taken away by 1975. It was done by indiraji.
Through Abdullah indira accord Prime minister title was changed to Chief minister. Sadr i riyasat to governor. Jurisdiction of election commission, supreme court extended.

It seems that Mr. Adhir Ranjan has not done his home work and as such he was caught unprepared on this topic.His stand should be that their party was erasing the impacts of Article 370 from time to time with consensus and inclusive discussion with elected leaders of valley. So congress supports this bill with reservations that the elected leaders from Jammu Kashmir and Ladakh should be heard in the matter.
