Words of advice from a homeowner, if this hasn't been done yet, have the realtor pull up the stats for the school districts of these areas you're interested in, check the schools' ratings, percentage of kids that graduate, programs that are offered, scholarships etc. You want your future children to have access to the best of education. Also, look at the taxes for the houses in these areas so you all will have a realistic view of your expenses after purchasing your dream home. Thank you for sharing this journey with us. Glad your looking in North Dallas area you get more for your money in Texas. Just a fyi when you buy a two story check and see if the house has one or two water heaters. If only one it may take some time for the hot water to reach the second floor. But I have a old house I've been told it happens in new builds ago. Good luck

Glad your looking in North Dallas area you get more for your money in Texas. Just a fyi when you buy a two story check and see if the house has one or two water heaters. If only one it may take some time for the hot water to reach the second floor. But I have a old house I've been told it happens in new builds ago. Good luck
