The Cetus is actually really really freaking good for the price! I've been flying RC helicopters and planes for a couple decades now and it's ridiculous how good this stuff is, and how dirt cheap they are making them. Is it perfect? No. Can it go miles away? No. Can it take an absolute beating? Absolutely! This thing is stupid amounts of fun for the price! More than likely you're going to want to upgrade from it kind of quick after a few flights, but it's still great for learning on and buzzing around the house on snow/rain days or bombing around you local parking lots without people nagging at you. This setup is just about impossible to beat for the price.
Totally agree!! The best part is you aren't locked down to that whoop with the kit. The kit will work with other setups allowing you to gradually upgrade your equipment when you want to or can do so. Thanks for watching!
@@slackersfpv thanks bro 🙏🙏🙏 Honestly I was very surprised how well it flew. If I was using my regular radio I think I could push it even further. I had to hold back so I could get part two done though. Even though trying to teach my buddy will probably lead to something breaking 😅
This was my first little whoop and as a beginner i completely agree if you're a beginner and wanna fly inside this isnt the best for that. I ended up getting a meteor 75pro as my 2nd whoop and id choose that as my first one. Love your contents. Trippy spinning the cetus x got me inspired

yeah, I bought this kit. Crashed on my first flight and lost it in a field. Managed to locate it by sound while burning motors. One of the motors broke, got replacements, swap it, but still haven`t tried to fly again. Just been playing around in a simulator. I watched in one of videos, that it might be good idea to lower sensitivity of the throttle, so the drone wouldn`t jump of the ground so fast.
The simulator is definitely the best place to start. Yes you could adjust the motor output limit in betaflight to make it a little less powerful or even add some throttle expo so it’s more of a gradual increase in power.
If they made a kit that included absolutely everything we needed like the drone, the goggles, remote, and at least 3 batteries, and charge no more than like 100 or 120 bucks for it then yeah it would be a great entry for a lot of people into the hobby. Today’s entry-level kits are like $200, which a lot of people can’t justify throwing $200 at the wall to see if they like something.
@@Unsub223 the problem is if it’s that cheap it’s not going to provide a good experience for the user. The true way to get into the hobby is to get a decent radio and get in the simulator.
@@_tcmore As someone who recently got into the hobby I couldn't agree more. Spent a couple of months dicking about in the Sim until I was comfortable investing more 😁
@ that is how everyone should do it. Even if you get one of these kits you should make sure the kit allows you to use the sim with the radio and spend enough time in there to understand the basics.
I have it, but I'm a little annoyed with the vtx because it overheats quickly. And because of that the drone was lost and found by someone after months.. well maybe because of the the canopy is closed so that air circulation does not flow to the VTX.. that's very annoying when flying in summer😮💨
@@SaidF14 that’s interesting. Can’t really test that now since it’s winter but I haven’t had any indication of that happening yet. Could always lower the power level to prevent that. I don’t overly like having a camera with a built in vtx. Could always upgrade to a different frame and go with an external vtx and separate camera.
Unless you can get this whole kit for like 50 bucks, it’s not worth it, and Just know if you’re going to fly one of these today, you’re about three years and $1000 short on keeping up with the trend, as of today you can get the same size actually a little bit smaller drone with the same size batteries with a dji 04, but the drone itself is 200 a pair of Integra goggles or the new 04 goggles is anywhere from 350 to 500 and then a remote to connect to is anywhere from 150 to 400 unless you go, the absolute cheapest route which would be the radio master pocket for like 80 bucks, running ELRS
@@Unsub223 you get a kit for $50 it’s going to be a piece of shit that will stop anyone from wanting to fly. If you fly whoops analog is the way to go. Can’t do that since the motors are 4 hole pattern.
