It doesn´t matter what version of bible you read, it´s all the same. If you read with 'ego' than you surely will go astray but when you 'ask for guidance' you cannot go wrong.
Yes, no matter what version it is still the bible, and therefore is the same voice, with the same goal of transformation in mind for the reader. But this does not mean that the language and tone used to convey the messages are not important. It's important to read multiple versions and translations of a text, especially one as ancient as the bible to understand the different ways each message can be conveyed, and come to your own understanding. It is not something to take as a whole, but a collection of parables and stories that have been passed down and changed by so many people that you need to cross-reference them.

No, it is not the same. The original Bible is the Hebrew Tanakh which is the Old Testament written in hebrew. The closest to the Hebrew Bible that we have is the 1615 King James Version. English translation moves further and further away from what the Tankh was truly conveying with each new version that they make.

I think you may have misunderstood what he was saying. Remember first off Rastafari don't discriminate or preach any kind of bad mind behaviour the message is unity and one love, he was stating that the bible is an interpretation which is a fact. All over the world people have their own interpretations of the bible it's for you as a person to study all these bibles and find your truth. We can not say our song is the best and spreads the most positive message without listening to everyone else's music. But as people what we can do is listen to everyone else's music and then make up our mind on the message we then would like to spread.. the message would be one for everyone, like he stated "U SHOULD NOT BURN THE BIBLE" because there is so much to learn. But don't look down on another man because of what he thinks, your mind, your body worry about you. after reading many interpretations It's hard to take one side I would urge people to read. Everyone wants to ask questions about the book instead of reading it and asking the Most High to guide and teach them. All these fruitless questions would be answered if one would just take the step and read, asking the Most High for guidance. His name is not Selassie-I nor is his name Jesus. He has many names and revealed many of them throughout the Book, but his name as Messiah when he came in the flesh, had to be replaced in order for the lawlessness we see now in all these fake names to take place. The Most High would never suffer his name to be polluted for HE is HOLY! If one wants to know someone's real name, they need to have a relationship with that person or else they will always get their answers in parables.
If one is oppressed by anything, he will not think of that same thing to deliver him! So that was the plan of the enemy. There were no churches nor christianity during the time of "Jezues". The bible is not one book but many. Not in chronological order neither. The problem is the new testament is a fraud - These are not the same gods. The old testament is not referring to jesus - They inserted jesus in the book by creating the new testament. The old testament stands alone and when you read it without the christian theology which is nothing but white theory that has been taught to everyone - The old testament makes perfect sense and you can get the true picture of the MOST HIGH and Israel.
