I seriously enjoy watching him so much. Idk but his personality sets him aside from other skincare content maker. It's just so fun to watch him, he explains everything so well with a side of comedy. I personally get bored to death when other UA-camrs explain skincare, but Hyram is so different, I could srsly binge watch his videos all day. (I am binge watching his videos lol)

@@Ari-uc9je hi! in all his videos hyram usually has a disclaimer that he's not a dermatologist or aesthetician and doesn't claim to be one either, instead he recommends going to a professional for anything serious -- guess he accidentally missed that in this video! if I remember correctly, most of his experience comes from working in luxury skincare retail for a long time ('skin specialist' is also the title of his job so that's where it comes from)

i think the drink water thing stems from how common it is for people to just drink soda all the time. so then when they switch to drinking water they notice a change. they're probably chronically dehydrated so when they switch to drinking water their bodies get re-hydrated and it helps their skin.
Then after a while you try soda again and bruh it’s straight up spicyyyyy
But being dehydrated will show on your face. I found that it's not neccessarily the case that drinking alot of water will make your skin glow, but drinking less than enough water will certainly dull and parch your skin. I have never drunk sodas in my life, but the days when I'm not drinking enough water, I see it in my eyes, lips and cheeks. They do get dry and chapped and dull. I also get tiny little pimples and red spots all over my chin and cheeks when I'm not drinking enough water.
On top of that, removing all the sugar that soda pumps into your body can help too! Too much sugar for sure affects skin and was super big in me clearing up my skin (aka changing my diet)
Can we just appreciate that hyram not only reacts to their skincare routines but he also takes his time to listen to their stories and acknowledge their experience
Her honesty and frankness about her struggles are so refreshing, and my heart goes out to her for all the anguish her skin has caused over the years. Plus, LOVING how Hyram is giving her the space, when her skin is that sensitive, to just do what works for her after so many years of struggle! I have EDS, a condition that means I have a gene mutation that causes skin changes, and I have some strange reactions to certain ingredients, including MAJOR sensitivity to niacinamide (literally burned a layer of my skin off at one point). Anytime I try a new ingredient I have to be MAJORLY careful, even if it's supposed to be non-irritating. When you've had struggles like that, sometimes you take what you can get, and I just love that he's given her the space for that here!

I sympathize with her so much! I have sensitive and very acne prone skin and tried literally everything over years so Accutane is the only thing that cleared my skin up COMPLETELY in a year. I've taken a lot of suggestions from your videos as well and it's helped my skin stay clear and give me my confidence back. My heart goes out to all of you struggling with acne, I promise you are so beautiful no matter the quality of your skin

I find most of the time, skincare products geared toward specific skin types aren’t actually good for those skin types 😂 so I’m with her there. I have combo skin and use vanicream and cerave cream to foam cleanser because they’re so soothing. Skincare for combo oily skin is often too stripping and not hydrating enough throughout the day.

I think she meant that she was drinking OTHER things that were affecting her skin not that the water was what cleared it, and when she cut those other things out, her skin got a lot better.
i used to have that same fear of sunscreen. they used to commonly have high amounts of PABA (uvb filter), which in my case caused hives growing up. thankfully its not very commonly used anymore as theyve made more stable derivatives from it. still tho, it affected how i viewed sunscreen as a kid

Honestly I love this review so much because even if he wouldn’t use some products he was really respectful of her routine and her skin journey. He always is respectful but idk it was different then usual and I like it so much we have to realize that skincare isn’t just about clear skin only it’s also there is also a mental aspect to it and we have to be careful with our words !
The Avène Gentle Milk Cleanser was recommended to me by my derm when I was younger, and has worked WONDERS on my skin!! It's also amazing for removing makeup, so I strongly recommend to people with combination/acne prone skin looking for a cleanser. :)
My skin recently got a dry, itchy, irritated rash and I cut my routine to the bare bones and nothing worked. I'm now thinking it's because I changed from a mineral sunscreen to a chemical one. A mineral spf is on its way! Please pray for me!

I definitely recognize a difference in my skin when I am dehydrated vs when I am drinking enough water to be hydrated. I used to almost never make it a point to drink water, and it did show in my skin. Now I almost don't drink anything besides water. But I drink just enough to be well hydrated. Like you don't need to drink gallons upon gallons. I think its dehydration that probably negatively effects the skin and your overall health. But I wouldn't say its some cure all miracle worker for skin.

Thank you! Im tired of people telling me my skin will glow drinking a gallon of water a day. Actually my hypothyroidism makes me sensitive to blooating and drinking more Water than actually need bloat my feet. So, girls, the old myth of the two liters of water a day is not for everyone.

Ahh can you pls do a video on coconut derivatives like coconut alkines, lauryl cocoate etc.? There's so many products out there with those ingredients but I hesitate as I am so susceptible to breakouts and usually stay away from coconut oil. 😩

Just because you saw that stuff growing up still does not make it okay to depict teenagers engaging in hard drugs, sexual acts, and camming. I do really like Euphoria but at times it is so uncomfortable to watch because I know they are depicting high schoolers. If they just changed their age to a more college setting it would of been okay. It's just also so nasty how there are MULTIPLE of these kids engaging with sexual activity with someone way older than them. No teenager should be watching Euphoria, but it also does seem like that is the target audience. This show put little care into their target audience and it really shows.

I fully thought he was being sarcastic when he was talking about how he found Euphoria so realistic. I find it soooooo melodramatic and ridiculous. While it does shed light on some issues surrounding youth, sex, and drugs, it does so in a way of glamorizing such issues. Also, the characters are genuinely so dislikable. However, I do understand the appeal. I just wish the show didn't take itself so damn seriously with how ridiculous some of the plot is. Also, I know this has nothing to do with skincare!! Love your vids LOL!

Yes, strangely the mineral sunscreens I've tried make my skin sting and the typical American sunscreens I've tried break me out. But the Korean and Japanese chemical sunscreens I've tried don't do either, they work perfectly. I think it helps when they include a lot of soothing ingredients like centella.
same here, American’s products have more of a harsher ingredients while korean and Japanese ones have more of a softer one. I love me some by mi and nature republic products
