Well, this is what it all boils down to. Folks were bashing ShaCarri when she didn’t make the team in 2019...duh, she was tired! All the college kids are already peaked, and will be too tired for Olympics, even if they make the team. Many people don’t understand how this works, but, your comments are 100% correct!

From here, the 200m is weaker than the 100m. Tokyo 200m has 2 virtual shoe ins, with Shaunae and Dina prepared for sub 22 if necessary for the 🏆22.10 capability come post round final, gets you onto the Tokyo podium I say. To see Brown (who!!!???) & KAMBUNGI getting medals won't cut it 2021 style!!!!
If not too tired from college season, USA 4x100 could start with Sturgis, second leg TT Terry, third leg possibly Hobbs, and anchored by ShaCarri would be one helluva world record!!!

@@stevie586 very simple...experience...The Jamaican team has (1) veteran leadership and will have (2) fresher legs come Tokyo with ET, SAFP and Natasha Morrison all being very experienced. They can add either Kemba Nelson and/or Brianna Williams to round things out. Who on that US team you mentioned has pro-level experience running 4x100 rounds, to date?

True, experience can help with HANDOFFS! However, if you have everyone with great handoffs, and more faster people, how is it your original post makes sense? It just sounds competitive and silly…not based upon actual logic! They not only need experience, but they need experience handing off to one another for that part of the race to benefit them. Let’s not sound silly, here…your comment implied USA doesn’t have the speed/ability to come close, and yah know what (?), we still got that world record with one of Jamaica’s best squads, which happened to be even better than the current. The collegiate athletes will not make up the relay team nor will they go 2-3 to make the team, the vets will definitely show up. This is what they’ve been training for
TT haven't learned how to perform to her max on the biggest stage. She did well in Conference. These are athletes she knows. But Nationally she hadn't seen everyone. The pressure got to her and Tamara Clark
Peaking, standing up to rounda, competition and the pressures of expectation will determine who makes into the US and JA trials. DAS has a walk in. Doha and the Rio Olympics saw a shockingly poor level of US female sprinters. Worse I can remember for decades!! So, watching these NCAA's has been hugely interesting. I did know Sha Carr flopped but didn't realise one could be that exhausted!! Hobos, Daniels, Brown....woooow!! Is this REALLY THE CREAM o the US crop, I wondered....
