This is always what I say. Not defending the problematic things she has done but let’s be real if she were white and/or a man she would get so much more leniency and forgiveness than she does. I can’t bring myself to hate her when Chris Brown and Dr. Luke are still out here thriving.
@@hottieschicken this 100%. people seem to focus in on how nasty she is just because she’s a woman and she’s black it’s a subconscious narrative that society spins. +Chuck Jay Need to see Crystal Waters - 100% pure love
She was so ahead of the new trends
there's so much movement in this video it's literally so perfect for this song, i love it so much
People have no idea how NY her music is. Her house hip hop sound is life. Too many of you are too stuck on that either pop hip hop or southern and west coast sounds. You just don't know anything about this.
YESSSS!!! That is my whole argument!! This is pure NY sound and I am glad she resurrected it!
Nikki Sylvanus
but shes illuminati =( she even says it in the song
Surf Nyc stop.
Why do you post this on all her songs?
Nikki Sylvanus
Right. I feel like putting powder on the floor lol. This shit goes HARD.
She isn‘t more problematic than most of the male rappers, chill and give her the respect she deserves for her creativity
True.
She’s definitely problematic, but as you say, if she was a male rapper people would let it slide. Fascinating and fucked up how people’s perspectives change simply because she’s female. So many male rappers are much more problematic and controversial than her and have literally murdered people and done terrible things, but when azealia makes offensive comments it’s blown out of proportion.
@@tinskull8132 Not to mention doesn't she have health issues. (Not saying that what she did was right or that her mental health issues is an excuse)
@@hottieschicken you really think if she was white she’d get away with all the homophobic and racist shit she’s been spewing? Hell no, she’d be canceled even more.
Now if she was a black male ‘gangster rapper’ then yeah, they’d get away with it. So many rap songs filled with homophobia and sexism, it’s almost celebrated
This is so sad. She could literally be one of the best rappers 2019.
She is one of the best rappers in the 10's
She is. Low energy hipster music are just for hipsters. They aren't gonna appreciate this stuff even if their life depended on it. Azealia Banks has great stuff to people who can appreciate it
Ichigo Uzumaki her racist remarks are considered honest to you? how sad.
Yeah if the general public stopped being stupid. She needs mental help and a support system. In the meantime we need to give her recognition for being one of the best artists of our generation.
What a shame she was a nasty girl disrespecting queen LIZZO
She may be insane but I'm still bopping after almost 11 years
WTF?? My desk just became a club. I'm officially an Azealia Banks fan right now. Unbelievable.
Beyonce's "BREAK MY SOUL" took me back to this fine tune and reminded me that no one does it better than AZEALIA BANKS
You know you're good when people are even comparing Beyonce to you

I’m convinced this is why I love house music
I swear if Twitter wasn't invented she would be THE artist of the decade
yes we do !
Look if positive vibes don’t get you noticed, you gotta do something. She’s doing what she has to do to get noticed. Luckily, her music lit af. So...
Period!
THANK YOU
I agree. In fact, I do wish Twitter wasn't invented. Oh well.
After seeing Ms Banks ' scandalous ads in various vlogs, I came over to see what all the fuss was about. And omg so glad I did! I use to love me some *house* *music* back in the day. The fact that she can rap and sing over it and do it so well is amazing! TY Azealia for bringing that genre back and putting your own inspiration on it. You are *DOPE* Ms Thang!
welcome to taste ;)
true dat!
It's called trap house. ×D
@@chasnfireflies317 Hip House
@@brandonparker6696 did you get the reply I sent that started as even better? I love new subgenres for house music. She is taking it where I loved it and that is a little more unique and underground. I got the "Traphouse" from another one of her songs where she called it trap-house. I like RapHouse even better.

i was in 5th grade (2012-2013) when i first discovered azealia and the chokehold this song had on me throughout middle school / my freshman year was insane. 12 year old song and it still sounds just as fresh as it did when it was released.
If it's ok to listen to Kanye I think we get a pass for Azealia

Shes already labeled as the modern day queen of house and not rap.
So underrated but pitty that shes her own problem of growth.
You said it best.
She’s insanely talented but you know what they say: loose lips sink ships.

Fin you beat me to this comment by three weeks! As a Londoner I’ve seen this done for the past 20 years. I still like Azealia’s music though ahaha
Hip house is an old genre. They’ve been making music like this since the 80’s. Hip house and freestyle...
i usually get tired of songs after listening to them 20 times but ive probably had this on repeat for maybe 10 days now and have listended to it thousands of times. im in love

Her music is so amazing and so creative. I wish her scandals and self sabotage didn’t hinder her career.
Right this what Dr Dre mean when he said social media destroy the mystery of a artist cuz they way more loose to say anything when they recording themselves than getting interview by your traditional media platform
Remember when yall said she was gonna replace Nicki Minaj😂LMAOO
Expose Thy Truth a lot of people said that lol
Dre pushed a woman down a flight of stairs. Why the fuck you care about what he has to say?

Honestly WTF she is a QUEEN. 8 years later and still not sick of this song!
