Hey there, speedrunner of the game here. If you are a casual player watching this guide, please do not go for Light zip (1:24), Pulley Skip (3:37), chef slide (6:11), fast key (6:56), handle jump (7:28) or sausage skip (8:58). They don't nearly save enough time to be worth the risk. Seriously. You have plenty of time. If you're on a scary section, take your time. This is coming from someone with about 500 hours total on the series, so please, for your own sake. don't do those skips I listed. On a positive note, things like Hook Warp (7:42) are very good skips to implement if you're going for the achievement, since there's not much risk if you know what you're doing, and saves you from dealing with the chefs. Janitor invincibility (5:40) is another skip that I'm split on. For a runner like me it's much safer because I've learned the strat and I'm not good at the casual method, so if you can get the skip consistently, then go for it, otherwise stick to the original way. Also creator of the video, if you could pin this it would be much appreciated ^^

To any of you still trying for the achievement I was planning on using as many of the tips in this video I could. Then read this comment and decided to just play it safe since he said “you have plenty of time” so I just ran through and did everything by the book. Some spots I had to wait and just play it safe. Others I went super quick. But! I got the trophy. So when they say you have time. They mean it! You have time. Just relax and go for it. You’ll get it.

The hardest part is not the timer. It's having the patience for having to reset, due to the game bugging out, or six just not wanting to follow your controllers inputs.
the hardest part is doing this on mobile version (ik its new) because i’ve collected all the achievements but this one.
Six has a serious problem with not wanting to crouch down at times where she has to hide
I'm definitely rewatching this several times to get that last achievement since it's hard to follow a Speedrun while playing. Thank you.

don't forget you can reload previous checkpoint anytime if you are about to die, you have plenty of time to do it without hard core trick in 1h.

I made it work once and tried probably 30 times... How on earth can you do it so easily
@@SkyDread it is tricky to get the hang of the skip too, just gotta jump and grab at the last possible moment for it to glitch you through
@@HutchBeemer yeah you gotta have the perfect timing, very tricky. I was just trying to get the hard to the core achievement. After trying for one minute, I just moved on, not a problem for the achievement, but of course to beat a record yes, gotta nail it ahah

Love how when I first played, I went onto the toilet, then to the sink and jumped onto the dresser to climb up and get the key. I thought that was how you were supposed to do it 😂😅
This is some INSANE gameplay!! Actually made me laugh in some parts - e.g. running from the chefs - because I personally have spent AGES trying to sneak past!
If you think this is crazy I would highly recommend watching SaiMoen's current world record of 32:57, things have gotten crazy lately in this game

Can i quit in the middle of a speedrun and continue another day? I assume the timer only plays out where you're in-game but I'm not sure.

@@VikanGaming oh. But you can play in sessions even without backing up your save file right? Quit. Play again next day. Right?
The game has to be completed under an hour without dying so I suggest playing one chapter at a time without dying and backup the save file, so you can continue anytime and also do it for every chapter. I did Hard to the core in one go.
Using these skips can be very risky the pully one you have to know your surroundings very well and others are a hard to do glitch and could maybe kill you
Well duh, it takes some practice to be able to successfully do these every time, but I'd say they were worth the time in my opinion
That jump with the power off around 3:50 isn't worth the risk lol. Doing it normally is much easier.

I had both LN1&2 but never got around playing them, with the 3rd coming out i had an itch to play them and 100% them, this trophy was a pain, great video though, for anyone trying i recomend a few tips, - You can pause to stop the timer, and reset from last checkpoint if u are about to die, and resets the timer too. As long as when you pause and that option is still there when you get caught by like the light or leeches or something it wont count as a death, if its not there then it counts as a death. again great vid and GL for anyone going for this!
Does restarting from checkpoint count as a kill? Can i do it in an actual run

Btw if you are getting caught like in the hand of the long arm man if you restart from the checkpoint before it respsawn you does it count as a death ?
@@LoicMurretif it won't let you reload from checkpoint then yes it counts as a death, if u can reload checkpoint then that means you didn't die, I think that is what op is saying.
@@LoicMurret Hey, I just tested it and I was right, I walked into a leech and let him grab me then I hit pause over and over and it kept giving me the option to reload checkpoint meaning it didnt count the death but after 2 to 3 seconds of the leech grabbing me I hit pause and the only options that appeared were resume, settings and exit to main menu so yes you have a couple seconds of wiggle room/safety before it counts your death as long as you see the option to reload checkpoint then you're in the clear also I only know the time frame for leeches so far as I am still testing this method but I can't assure you that you will have the same window of safety for hand boss etc. basically meaning I can't guarantee you that this method works in all scenarios and enemies.
wow that one skip where you beat the janitor to the door and just stay standing there while the screen is in black and white until you suddenly drop all the way down to the water is crazy.
It is crazy. The player actually isn't standing there, they're navigating blindly outside of the map to not take fall damage on pipes outside of the map. It's one of the most precise skips in the entire series actually.

@@mac1bc you need to run on top of the wooden plank and jump just before you character go back to the flour height
its hard to do the first time but it is pretty easy to do once you get the hang of it

@@mac1bc oh yea il it’s easy to do the entire game in like 45-50mins without any skips but I just wanted to give you a little trick since I’m not simply going for the achievement, I’m going for the world record or at least a place in the top 10
this reminds me of speedrun from doom in nightmare
So sad. I had to quit this game because I couldn't get over the table in the guest chapter. The few time I did I was elated, only to find that I couldn't figure out how to jump off the crate on the wall.

Yeah so i think they actually fixed alot of these.. I tried some of the running tricks or jumping tricks and it seems they made the bosses faster, also six wont jukp far/high enough to do some of the things on this list.
For ex.
I tried the chef one where you just run in, grab key, run around table and go out. But he paused to see me fir about 3 seconds then ran fast enough to catch me before i even got to the table.
I tried the first tip with the door handle using floor board, she couldnt go far enough, also the same case with toiley paper switch one. And the sink. She wont jumo far enough.
Im on ps4.
the first door and toilet paper thing jumps still work i just did them right now. just try to mimic the same movement that he did and jump from the same spot. Im on pc but i used a ps4 controller.
@@ThePerfectSmore PC is different doesn't matter if you use a controller or keyboard lmao the patches get released to the system not its operational devices but yes the glitches still work I just did them but they do take lots of practice

Its not reliable to skip the first medusa with the block, but you can skip the pulley to get favorable cycle of medusa.

How do they jump six's hunger animation? can it be done on console or only on pc?
you kinda just walk a tiny bit then stop a bunch, then jump/pull up on the edge, i was able to do it on ps4
10:01 Weird... What kind of glitch would cause the Runaway Kid to teleport from this door directly to the Depths ? When catching the hook in the kitchen, it makes sense since it's probably a loop of hooks, so the one you caught respawn directly to the beginning. But this one... I have no idea how this one works.
i think its more of how the map is layed out, i assume the runaway kid falls at some point after running into the room and then just lands down in the depths

Just a tecnical question: is there a technique in order to run and not getting tired? Because i try to mix running with jumps but i get tired as well. Any tip for this?

No restart is not counted as death in hard to the core. But remember to complete the under an hour.

How to do the hook glitch??
That first part is glitched I’m sure because I’ve tried it without the speed run and it don’t work.
Is the hook glitch fixed? I try to jump and grab it but makes me fall and die
I for the life of mine can't figure out the sausage skip, I wish there were a bit more explanation to it
The hook grab killed me 3 times…
How come I can’t get it to work? I grab the hook and when it clips up into the wall it drops me down to the ground.
I just did it after just four tries and it worked. I was making super sure i don't release the grab button while teleporting behind there, otherwise Six would've ended up in the backrooms i guess

@@violet5471 I got it the next day 😁 almost died twice but did a quick restart checkpoint and it didn't pop until after the credits plus another 5 mins
yes, you have to start a new game and do it all at once. Do not load from the 'load chapter menu'. Also you can reload previous checkpoint anytime if you feel you are about to die, very useful.

I got it today and I restarted checkpoint a bunch of times. As long as you restart before being grabbed or falling into a hole you are good to go. I even backed up my saves after each chapter, reloaded it if I messed up, and still got it as I was walking up the stairs at the end.
@@mac1bc is the best process to play offline, quit the game occasionally (say, when it's loading next chapter), go online to back it up, then go back offline to continue? Then deleting local files and downloading if you mess up?

it still works. you have to land on a certain cage. i landed too far to the left and got stuck out of the map. couldnt move

Okay...Can anyone verify if this glitch has been patched or not? Because I'm facing the hold the exact same way and grabbing the hooks and I keep getting catapulted onto the floor and dying instantly. I'm pretty sure the game is telling me to **** off at this point.....
Still works for me, you have to grab it quite late
Idk if you already did it by now but it still works as of today, you have to grab it when it tilts a little at the rim, and once it catapults you, only then you gotta let go. I let go a little but late but other than not being picked up the first 3 tries i didn't die or anything :)
