It is still wonderful to see what is possible on such a relatively small boat. On large yachts you expect all kinds of things and many is possible. With this type of ship it is the art of the limited space to make something so beautifull.. Nice to see

Great tour as usual, and the headline price is headline grabbing, but…. it would be a great addition to your tour to state the price as shown. I suspect options on that particular one are going to be a lotta dosh.

A great video NIck - we saw this very boat at SIBS and absolutely loved it except it doesn't have an enclosed toilet - I don't agree the lack of space argument as a great many small boats have a separate enclosure....I think it's more of a design ideaology possibly cost driven.........

Still ❤️ Aquaholics even with the continued lack of a super yacht perhaps you could answer a hypothetical question instead Nick? Some kind patron is offering to supply you with a boat of your choice free to you but obviously the continued running costs and storage costs are going to be yours which boat do you choose? And would your choice be different than Marianne's? 🤔🖖

@AQUAHOLIC Hi NIck, love these videos! Just a suggestion on something I (and maybe others) would like to see: A video that explains how much it costs to run some of these boats. I know you've done one that explains how much it is to run Smuggler's Blues 2, but I am really curious how much a big boat like a Princess 65 etc costs per hour/day/week.

I just got a quote from Marine Max in Florida on a Saxdor 270 with twin Merc 200’s. $218,000.
What a wonderful boat for a wonderful price (if that includes all those extras!), until you get to the loo under a seat and all that space for just the loo's washbasin. 10 out of 10 if that basin and loo were in in toilet compartment instead. Nice tour, as always!
Nick if you had a choice between this new saxdor or the new Boston 280 dauntless which would you consider more family friendly?
I don't think they're really comparable, the Boston Whaler is a far more expensive boat.

As a small boat owner myself who loves the peace and tranquillity of the open sea or a quiet bay, I never understand why someone would opt for electric only cooking which confines you to shore power at the marina.
can't you use the electricity from an onboard battery storage?

This boat deserves better beer. I'm honestly wondering how a rather sad American beer is featured on a Finnish boat at a British boat show.
How is it that despite the fact that the US is home to almost half of the craft breweries in the world, and produces unequivocally the best beer in the world, dominating every international beer competition for the last decade or so it always seems to be the shittiest, piss water, mass produced American beers that make it across the pond?
I would like to apologize on behalf of America. Coors light is a euphemism for something being bad quality over here. “The Coors light of ..”
@@flacjacket As an American living in belgium I'd argue it would be very tough to find a beer there that competes with the beer here. Try Bush Amber (not busch) at 12% its still the best and smoothest beer I've tasted.

@@T2roxT2 still not convinced….. Nick tours a lot of used boats that are for sale, and of course those are 'as is'. One of the uk dealers is advertising 3 for delivery shortly and they range from 120k to 130k nicely spec'd. Can’t see that show boat was £99k, but if it is, then great value.

How does this compare to a Nimbus T8 and the Axopar 28
actually is not that efficiency the 225 v6, cruising at 4,250 rpm has the same consumption with the 300 v8 (tested), only on low rpm you can get less consumption than v8, but you instantly lose it when you up the throttle. Also you are getting easier on the power with v8, something is very important at windy weather with some waves. So in the end if you cant barely afford the extra money for the v8 your only option is the v6, otherwise v8 is the must engine for this boat. UPDATE That's why the new version of the 270 can be with 2 outboards with a total of 400hp if you need it for seasport

Another brilliant tour Nick! Thank you. However, this boat needs to come with two warnings. 1) Everything is an option. 2) A chemical warfare warning. After the Burj Al Arab disaster (which for some bizarre reason no one asked me for the details) I can imagine myself resting down below (inside the Saxdor 270) and then suddenly my friend's hot girlfriend decides to do a number two right in front of me. Eeeewwww... chemical warfare!!
Why even bother with the cooktop if you have to be plugged in? seems extra silly
$99k is an insanely "cheap" price for a boat like this. Our 27ft Grady White was over $200k brand new
Good luck finding one at a low price here in the US. Haven't checked the site yet but I bet that's the base spec, will probably be around 200k with options and at a dealer.

The 270 starts at 77.500€ with this 225hp V6. Unfortunately it looks like they just got rid of their online configurator, which I had used to dream around from time to time.
