I found this very moving to watch. Many of those we lost were not major players or actors in Dr Who either in front or behind the TV cameras, but they all contributed, they all gave their talents, they all made moments that mattered. You have honoured them all, and enabled us to do the same.
Wonderful work as ever Toby. They will all be remembered for their contributions to Doctor Who. Great timing too: • "I went to the doctor..." - the ophthalmologist from The Invisible Enemy • "He said girl..." - Marius' Nurse from the same story. • 5:32 Reverend Ernest Matthews complaining that he has been ringing for attention since before six o'clock, almost like it's now near the sixth minute here. Also, the merging with Mrs. Pritchard, both characters being from Ghost Light. • "All the flowers that you planted mama" - the Doctor balancing a plant pot on his head. Glad to have been a help again.
Each year these tributes get a little harder to watch, mainly because actors from the early years are of the same vintage as my parents. Each year these memoriam are released and I am still blessed to still have my parents, I feel a slightly heavier heart knowing my fortune cannot continue. Until such time .... thanks for the memories. Even the smallest part in the biggest of television programmes was momentous. Thank you, each and every one! xx
Thank you Toby for this marvelous tribute to all those we have lost. I particularly impressed by the range of people you cover as everyone of them has made a contribution to the show we love. You have done them all proud and should be congratulated.
Thanks for doing these every year, Toby. As always, tasteful, respectful, insightful, what a great tribute to those who have passed on. Just wiping some tears from my eyes.
Another excellent tribute Toby! I'm always shocked by how many Who luminaries we've lost each year...it makes me realize how many wonderful individuals worked on our favourite little show :)
The late actor Derek Hunt was a good friend of mine, and I can tell you that he looked back on his work on Doctor Who with great fondness. Thank you for including him, Toby. RIP
Thank you for such a beautiful tribute! Dinny Powell also worked on films such as Brazil, Mission Impossible, Goldeneye and Superman. It was such a shock to hear of Richard Franklin's passing on Xmas morning 😢
Respectfully done, as always, Toby. Thank you. It was a bit of a shock to me to see Kevin O'Neill's appearance on the list - he was comic book royalty, as far as I'm concerned. His work with Alan Moore, on the frankly astonishing 'The League Of Extraordinary Gentlemen' was a towering achievement. And let's not forget 'Nemesis The Warlock', and 'Marshal Law', either.
Good stuff as always, Toby. Shocked to see Jennifer Hill here, I didn’t know she had gone. And Laurie Haldeman: I will always love her wonderfully daft book.
Bernard Cribbins and Richard Franklin, two old soldiers who left us for good. (Yes, Cribbins died the year before, but 2023 was his final preformance on screen, so I mention it here.) And Sir Michael Gambon hit extra hard, being a Potterhead AND a Whovian.
Well done Toby. We all have a great love for this programme with so many making so many contributions towards it in all sorts of different ways. Thank you.

Met Richard Franklin a good few years ago at comic con and he signed my TARDIS. He was so wonderful and lovely
So many old friends are gone. It's a reminder to appreciate those that love while they are with us and to live every day as if it's our last..

What a lovely tribute to the cast, and various production teams to writers, artists and not forgetting a very good Friend Richard Franklin. RIP.

A truly beautiful tribute - and it always hurts the more when we only discover some deaths years afterwards
Thanks Toby ❤

Wonderful as ever Toby, really sad to hear about Richard Franklin.❤❤
A beautifully put together piece. Respectful and tasteful.
I'm normally on top of your content Toby, but came to it late this time, but wanted to reiterate how valuable these are. Thankyou.

Fabulous - and great choice of music. I thought Stanley Appel was something big on Top of the Pops - had no idea he was to do w Cameras.
I have been waiting for this yearly tribute and dreading it equally.
Wow! Great work!!

Great tribute. RIP
Brilliantly done as ever.

Terrence Hardiman would have made an excellent Rassilon in a live tv story.

Lovely tribute 😢 x
❤
Very poignant to have Sinead O'Connor singing in the background, since she passed away in 2023 also. Nicely done.
By the way, didn't know about Richard Franklin. Was it recent?
yeah he passed on or around Christmas Day IIRC, all I know is that I saw the announcement after the DW Christmas special
Christmas morning, I believe.
Richard Franklin died in his sleep on Christmas Day
Lovely, lovely, lovely, Mister Hadoke!
A shame Richard Franklin is gone
Sorry, please disregard the comment i just left. I hadn't realized Bernard Cribbins died in 2022, not 29023. Sorry!
How sad must have been for Peter Day to see that his Davros design was de-canonized the very year he died. I hope he didn't see that happening...
Well done Toby.
We all have a great love for this programme with so many making so many contributions towards it in all sorts of different ways.
Thank you.
Thank you Toby. Beautifully put together
