Happy New Year of the Dragon! These lovely girls must have put up with a lot of obstacles to reach the Ed Sullivan Show, but there they are. Wonderful music, singing, costumes, and choreography. So many other Asian artists went unacknowledged. But, "Ladies and gentlemen, the Kim Sisters!"
Flower Drum Song was one of the best movie musicals ever made. ❤ The main core cast was James Shigeta (Shogun), Myoshi Umeki (Courtship of Eddie's Father), Jack Soo (Barney Miller), & Nancy Kwan (too many movies to mention).
😆 Actually, he was telling Neil Sedaka he could only perform ONE song- and that Johnny Wayne & Frank Shuster could have an extra three minutes to extend their "Bonanza" parody.....and told Janet Blair to "cut the shit" when performing "I Believe In You". And, for the 427th time, he insisted Georgie Jessel *wasn't* going to be on his show that season. 😉
Goodness gracious. That was one of the sweetest things I’ve seen on Ed Sullivan. And one of the best!
