Motor opens up a lot with a few thousand miles. You do have to rev it out pretty hard to get power. A power commander and a custom map helps. Changing the gearing helps. Significantly. Bike will pull strongly to the limiter at 100mph or so if you get it all sorted. Still not "fast" but way better than off the dealer floor. Mine's a 2015. Love it.
@@itstjw6796 There's a soft limiter at around 107mph. Not sure I ever hit it stock. With mods, tucked in on the highway it definitely feels like you should be able to get a bit more if she would let you.

How heavy does the bike actually feel because I feel like everyone hates on this bike due to its weight and price. Possibly fuel consumption, as well as likes vs dislikes for the 500r please and thank you I am really considering this bike or the ninja 500 but there’s not enough content on UA-cam for the 2024 model on the other hand there’s a lot of content for the ninja 500 that’s why everyone has one.
