I am one hour into this project on an 05 Ranger. That is with almost no "how too" vids. This vid is the only one that depicts exactly what happened to my shift tube. Thanks! You did give me some info that I needed.
I had the shop do mine, $100 part, 2 hours labor, $350. I'm old, and my back is broken, no way could I do mine. It's like brand new again. The longer you let it go, the more dangerous it gets.
wow! Thank you! Thank You I never would have been able to do this without your help! awesome video............ mine was 1997 e250 luckily it was just the 2 screws were loose.
I wish I would've found this video 2 hours ago, it took me about an hour to realize I needed to figure out how to get the ignition out to get the clamshell off. Great video thank you!
Your welcome. I sure always appreciate the videos of others as they have helped and taught me a ton! This was my first video and had the frame of mind that what I run into may help others. For what ever reason it is my most viewed video. Thanks for watching and the comment!
Yes it does. But I already cut it. Van has high miles. You really think after 350k miles a little plastic trim is an issue for this van? It survived rear ending by a Ford f250 at 40mph. It was run until oil pressure dropped and temperature started rising. My second econoline to reach over 300k. Must be doing something right.

Your welcome. Nice to be of service to others. So many you tube videos have helped me over the years it's nice to be able to contribute some myself.

Looks like an E-150 to me, not an F-150. Same exact process for both vehicles though.
Yes e150.
The tilt steering lever just unscrews!!!!WTF!
