Old school BIG-10 barn-burner. Weather, safeties, turn-overs, linebackers flying all over the place. The only thing missing is a Keith Jackson "Oh Nelly".

As a PSU fan, that was a sloppy win, but a win nonetheless. Hats off to KJ Hamler, McSorely and the PSU Defense for making big plays and keeping up the pressure all game to force bad throws. Two special team safeties though? Oof

Great game… It could have gone either way but Iowa could have won it easily. Nate Stanley missed some key throws to blow the game open
JJ ThaGreat1 missed some key throws????? He was overthrowing everyone in the 3rd quarter. Stupid mistakes costed us this game. We should’ve won this game
@@t-d0ggofficial540 Definitely Overthrowing wide open crossing routes, two interceptions, the trick play he overthrowed and alot more. He most likely cost y'all a chance at the B1G championship unless Northwestern loses 2 conference games
JJ ThaGreat1 anything can happen in college football. But we must beat Northwestern. That is a MUST win. Basically to get to the championship we gotta win out, and Northwestern has to loose to us and another game. But for us to make it, it’s possible. But we will see what happens

Liberty24 Both teams played sloppy but even without the two safeties Penn State still wins. But Iowa was the better team yesterday but Stanley played like absolute shit the whole game. He is the reason they lost this game

Michigan's defense is better than Penn State's Offense. Michigan's offense is slow, grind it out, control the clock. Michigan's defense controls McSorely.
Plus, Don Brown was not happy about giving up all that yardage last year.

s1ms07 they’re all posers. Michigan is the only play off worthy big 10 team, they still don’t deserve it though, not impressed with them. The rest of the big 10 teams would get viscously murdered except for Ohio State, but they’d still get beaten by about 10-17. It’s a weird season, I’m a Florida State fan but the only teams I think are really worthy of the playoffs at the moment are Alabama, Clemson,LSU, and Georgia. It wont happen though considering we’ll have LSU v Alabama and the SEC championship giving LSU or Georgia a second loss possibly. Notre Dame is overrated and will probably get exposed just like last year and 2012. Washington State would get beaten down too, the pac 12 are literally the toddlers of college football. Oklahoma I feel like has a slight chance but they literally play no one and when they did, they lost. The sec is currently ruling, then the ACC, big ten, pac 12, big 12. Reason I put acc in front of the big ten is because they aren’t as sloppy.
If Iowa had a QB they could have won this football game.
Lot's of dropped and errant passes on the PSU side too so dropped/missed passes cxl each other out. If the game was going to be decided on passing Iowa is lucky Franklin didn't keep Tommie Stevens in. Both his passes should have been caught, but only 1 was. Stevens is a much better pure passer than McSorely is. Even the interceptions by each team kind of cxl each other out. PSU came out "lame" in the first quarter, but then found their footing. That was the difference in the game :-)

Much better sportsmanship than the Michigan/Michigan State game, where they just were idiots ! Good for both Penn State and Iowa. Close game, but sportsmanship all the way.

The only idiots were Michigan state, seeing how they were late to their own stadium to complete their ritual, and clotheslined two of our guys, and ripped off our equipment. Michigan responded by giving them a fresh new logo. Nothing wrong with that. Also, the big ten saw it as Michigan state's fault and fined them 10k.
As a Penn State alum, I always have had highest respect to the Iowa football program. Well coached, well disciplined, and well mannered on and off the field. Just like old PSU team I remember when I was at State College. Sadly, I am not sure if I can say the same for current PSU team under coach Franklin.
Iowa's quarterback, Stanley, is a very STUPID quarterback. He always keeps looking where he's going to throw the football. Defenses key in on this stupid tendency and can easily intercept the throw.

Ray Hall lol how will a freaking group of 5 team make the playoff, they have the 127th strength of schedule. It would be a travesty if they made it in and they would get beat by 50+ if they played Alabama

You missed my point, I was elated seeing such a miracle work, that was not the issue. The issue is that the odds of success for that play seems like 1 in 15. Not good odds.
A wise, great coach will not run that play on 4th down and 10 from the 10 in the first quarter. They will kick a field goal every time.
I'm an Iowa supporter, but that call was unwise. You don't have to agree, it is just my assessment from weighing the situation.
