I just purchased the babyville boutique snap pliers and watched this video to learn how to put on the snaps. After trying everything the snaps would not go on and they kept getting ruined and smashed. Try after try I was getting so frustrated and then I found out that I needed to change both the die tray and the shank size that was on the pliers when I purchased them. In this video it says that they are already equipt to use with your brand snaps. I wanted to share it may be different so check!
Thanks for posting this information. I also purchased the snap pliers and followed the directions including the note that the pliers were set up to do the 20 line snaps. The die tray was set up for the 20 line cap, but the Shank was not for the 20 line snaps, so I damaged about half a dozen before I came to the internet to see if I could find a solution before returning it to the store.
You're a life saver. I had to adjust my plier. Even though it comes preset for size 20 I needed it for the size 16. But after I changed the die tray it was easy peasy!
I watched the video and tried to follow the instructions, both were unsuccessful. It would be nice if the trays and rubber tubes were marked with the number either 16, 20 or 24 so that you knew which one to use. I am returning everything to the store because I am unable to use it.
