- The pride of Diego Martin is the Blue Basin Waterfall. Its large crystal clear pool is a swimmers delight. Together with the historic waterwheel, it is the perfect destination for people looking for an easy ecotourism tour.
Yet Blue Basin waterfall seems to be neglected by the relevant authorities. No bins for garbage and the concrete road to the falls need to be fixed. As a country, we have become so stigmatized by eternal forces perhaps it could be the crime or maybe the wealth from oil and gas, that we seldom take the time to appreciate the natural beauty of Trinidad and Tobago.
The expedition to the Blue Basin Waterfall is a short 20 minutes walk that begins along the pitch road. Please note there is security for the vehicles.

I'm from Diego Martin and we always use to go to blue basin as kids....those were the days...next time I visit home difinaltely have to visit the Blue....and people please take your trash with u after enjoying a fun time with your friends or family...let's keep our beautiful wonders clean.

I was born and grown in Diego, been to Blue Basin many times as a child but haven't been in years mostly bc of the crime but it's soo beautiful and I never knew there was another pool higher up tho, nice Vlog as usual Alan 🏊👍😁❤️🇹🇹

Your tour guide Justin is awesome a real nature boy .I agree Allan I'd you not comfortable don't do it.I went to blue basin as a child which were many moons so it looks the same except we drove straight to the basin.But all the other falls and gorge is astounding.Great photography love it.

Another quality vlog Allan. You fellows brought this place alive, especially your new partner Justin with his dives and flips. He's such a cool guide and I can recommend him to folks.I agree with Jono not to do things he's scared to do LOL. It is my fervent hope that people become sensitized to the good to keep a clean scene. Hopefully when I visit in 3 maths time I can go to Blue Basin which will be a first for me in my 77 yrs riding around the sun.

We were there about two months ago. We parked down the hill and my kids walked up that hill no issues. Ages 3,5, and 16. It was a really nice beautiful place. Highly recommend going here. Just make sure you go as a group.

I live in Diego. 4 roads,,up Cuthbert Circle,,,with the Brothers,,,only went to Blue Basin once. Toco endless times. Can’t recall,,,stay at Pasons Place. On the Back road,,.Machael ,,too young to Soca bought the place. In Toco. Buy a place before it get away from you. I lost out on a nice spot in Toco. Keep good,,

I have not been to Blue Basin in over FIFTY YEARS which is how long it has been since I left Trinidad. I used to live in Blue Range on Rockdale Road. Not much has changed in Blue Basin save for more people, more trash and ever more crime. The road is as 'good' as it has ever been. I will never understand why TnT people are so NASTY and IRRESPONSIBLE with the way that they handle their rubbish - every damn where that they go. This - and the ever increasing levels of crime and violence - are but some of the many reasons why Trinidad will NEVER BE a sought out destination for international tourists. There is so much potential that is just being wasted. There is absolutely NO CIVIC PRIDE and RESPONSIBILITY in evidence in so many of these places. Sad. But at least I can say that I visited the area many years ago and I am still alive and well to remember my time there. 🥴🥵😥

blue basin is very lovely. however be careful jumping into the basin from on high. there is a tree at the very bottom of the basin and i have seen all be it was back in the 1970s someone got stuck in between the branches of the tree and drown. blue basin is very deceptive be careful.

Justin ,as far as I remember trinidadians when it comes to being dirty,litter bugs ,inconsiderate obnoxious I don't give a damn if you perferr human beings they the ones you looking for , born in Trinidad grew up there but don't live there anymore I don't even want to think how the blue basin water fall must have deteriorated,it's all make a mess and leave it there ,really we as a people are our own enemies.
Alan is to scared to climb up. Jono can’t move that fast…you guys are in bad shape, and not to good of health😆. You guys can hike but not climb up, then you start complaining. Hit the Gym, stretch, jog 🏃🏃♂️ or walk . Bad and unhealthy diet…what better can one expect. Hey Jono and Alan, you guys must get in perfect shape. Don’t be in a rush to get old, stop blaming Age. Age has nothing to do with I can’t move that fast, I can’t climb up cause I am not flexible💪🏻 blah blah blah 😑
