Negan needs to realize that his way isn't working. Think about it. Simon is now doing his own thing, and not listening to him. That is basically his right hand man. Dwight switched sides, and wants him dead. Gavin is dead. Negan is definitely losing, so could we see Negan surrender? Maybe if he surrenders Rick won't actually kill him, and keep him alive because Carl wanted him to.
Simon did his own thing. He may have been the leader of the Saviors before Negan. If he did do the killing of all the males at Ocean Side. That is why he got stuck with watching a crappy outpost. Once Negan finds out about the trash people. Simon is a dead man. We can surmise by the flash-forward with Rick, "Mercy prevails" and either Negan gets captured or escapes. He is far from losing. :-)
Simon probably did the same thing to the husbands, fathers, and brothers of the Oceanside women too. It was mentioned in the episode "Swear" that the Saviors killed them all for fighting against them.
You saw the way he lied to Negan as well, people tried to tell me 'Oh he's smart he knows!" He doesn't know squat! He knows about the library, he probably knows that a community up and left but he doesn't know why. The way he verbally abused Rick just now; the writer's need a parallel argument as a case against Negan, he'll need to see he didn't have the control he thought he had and either Rick will the same 'blame the victim' crap on Negan or someone more innocent or appropriate (Cyndie or Maggie) will get to do it.
I'm saying that Negan is as trapped by his sucecss as his workers are. I don't believe Negan was the SERIAL KILLER that Phillip was, I think he really believes that his way works because he has made himself THE BIG DOG among MASS MURDERS like Simon, RAPISTS like Rapey Davy.... I think he looked up and realized he was surrounded by REAL CRIMINALS and to stay alive himself, he used what he knew... his arrogance & charisma to his advantage. I don't think he's a figure head but I do think, he didn't start out bashing in the heads of INNOCENT PEOPLE. He began to believe his own press, so to speak.
He's definitely kicking Rick when he's down. I think Negan was actually hurt at first and caught off guard when he learned Carl was dead. But then he sort of pulled himself together and remembered who he was talking to and that it's his enemy then it's almost like his logic was ''Well fuck this guy I should kick him when he's down''
I don't think Negan was completely screwing with Rick , I think everything Negan said is what he really feels and believes. For Negan he told the truth , well his truth that is .
when carl and rick first came across sidiq, carl wanted to help and the fact that rick shot at him making him run is what caused carl to go back, which leads to the bite... so in that sense yes its ricks fault he should have either followed carls lead at that moment giving sidiq a chance or he, should've killed him, but at the same time since season 2 carl has always gotten himself into some stupid situtaions on the farm and the walker that killed dale, almost dying leading the walkers away from the house rick and him were in after the prison, going after negan by hiding in the truck, that would have killed him if it was'nt for negan having a little respect for carl....... so yeah negan is correct in saying it's ricks fault but it's also carl's fault for doing things without fully thinking things out but remember carls is still a kid he's only 12or 13 during all out war in the comics.....
It's been going around for a while that Simon is actually the real monster of the saviours. After seeing this it may have been him that executed the men of Oceanside. Negan might not even know about it.
It's amazing how Rick's own words to Jadis came back to haunt him moments after leaving her. He saw that she was broken and full of guilt after losing her people/family, yet he still took the chance to hurt her more by saying it was her fault that they died. Only to have Negan use Rick's pain and guilt of Carl's death to hurt him. I really hope that Rick honor Carl's wishes and go back to save her. Because she seems very resourceful and who's to say that she actually gave all of their weapons to Simon. She might be sitting on a gold mine masked in garbage.

I think many have said, but Aaron made it to Hilltop and left Gracie there with Maggie and Co. LOVE YOU GUYS!!! Hate the hating on this show from so many people recently. Did you want them to stay at the farm for 7 seasons roasting marshmallows and singing kumbaya ??? I did see a comment recently from someone saying like it would be cool if after a 2 year period, the strain mutates and the walkers become agile and faster.......... BUT, they are so decomposed by now that it would be hard. Trying to think of ways to boost the show!
The truth hurts, but Negan is right about Rick. Carl would have never went out to help Siddiq if Rick would have just taken him in originally. If Rick was that worried about Siddiq being a Savior, they had a jail cell that Morgan built he could have stayed in.

You know I never thought Negan actually believed Rick would sit there and let that happen. I never brought it. Imagine my surprise after buying the DVD set to hear Rick scream NOOOOO!!! while off camera during that scene. I think Negan assumed Rick would reach up to stop him and then he would get to kill Rick. The person he really wanted dead.
Another thought. I think Negan is getting suspicious, and, will decide to visit the garbage people, himself. When he gets there, he will see all the destruction, and, realize they are all dead. He will also see the blue paint everywhere. That's when he will remember the blue paint on Simon's shoe. That is when Negan will connect the dots, and deal with out of control Simon.
Another great review! Your both right. Carl, if you remember, has always been an explorer. From way back to the farm. When Dale was killed by a walker he basically freed. Now on that note, I always thought that Rick and Lori were very relaxed with parenting him. Especially in a zombie apocalypse! I think they raised him that way to help others, and he definitely was going to do what he wanted.
No rick basically was at fault , he could have taken sadiq when Carl first saw him , he was not a threat and if rick hadn’t shot above his head , Carl wouldn’t have tried getting him back .
I really liked this episode, imo it's the best so far . Really liked the scenes with Negan and Simon , we haven't seen him question Negans decsions before so that was good . Never had any love for Jadis and her people but what Simon did was so very wrong , he went way to far . After Jadis watched her people get shot to death then had to grind them into slop , she looked like a woman messed up and broken enough to wear walker skins ! After everything Carl said to Rick , leaving Jadis felt so wrong . Rick shot over her head like he did with Saddiq , it didn't end well the first time and I'm thinking this time will have deadly consequences also . I don't think Negan is right about Carl dying being Ricks fault, only because Carl told Rick a father's job is to love only to love . As parents we try to always protect our kids and as hard as we try we can't always protect them , but we can always love them no matter what. So if Carls good with that so am I lol . So now I see the value of Jadiss. She's really resourceful, she can use what's available as a tool or a weapon. That whole thing with the garbage grinder was amazing. Even by herself I think she might be an asset to the good guys.
alamoja Yeah, my thoughts on that are the same. Thing is, Rick (the good guy) is dealing with good people hellbent on revenge, and he'll forgive them to no end It seems. Negan, in the other hand, does put up with that shit as he's shown before and yeah, we can debate the same with Rick but only if the conflict is between outsiders and him. Negan exceeds at being a ruler better than Rick because of that. I feel like there's a difference between a ruler and a leader. I think of a ruler as someone who straight up takes charge, Negan. I think of a leader as someone who is followed by a group, Rick. Tell me, who's doing better as what their entitlement are? When Negan finds out about what Simon did, he will not hesitate to grab Lucille by the pussy and bash it in on Simon's head unless Simon is planning to overthrow Negan before then cause think about it (if Rick does not say, and Negan finds out himself), doesn't that mean that Simon has people behind him? Same people who did not notify Negan of what happened (story could go there) but my point is, Negan don't hold back unless if he's using reasoning but he will get at you. Rick, clearly does not care about that anymore and has shown little care in that aspect multiple times.
It's not Rick's fault Carl died. Saving Siddiq was not a bad move. Even I didn't know Siddiq's storyline. Negan was being a pocket to Rick. But yes, Negan is/was emotional about Carl.
Rick approached that conversation horribly, and people are gonna say its because of Carl's death... but Rick been saying he's gonna kill Negan since they first met.
I felt so bad for Jadis, she was broken especially when Tamil died, she was close to her people and cared about them, I hate to say it but if she hadn't met Rick and Co they would probably still be alive...
Brandon Goodman No, when she first met Rick she didnt want anything to do with his fight with Negan, after she shot him, he came back again and she said, "No", if she had stayed out of Rick's conflict they would still be alive. The same can be said for the Woodbury survivors, the kingdom, and Alexandria. Every community they make contact with is eventually destroyed, they are bad news. .
I really appreciated this episode. (Especially since I called it, ha!) We see, perhaps, the beginning of the end for Simon. Deliberately killed all those people at the landfill. People are a resource, and Simon dumped them all against Negan's orders. Simon may find himself in that furnace sooner or later. I'm convinced that Negan believes what he is saying to Rick, that Carl's death is in some way Rick's fault. It also happens to screw with Rick's head while he's in a shattered state looking for someone to let his anger out on. I think Negan realizes this and calls Rick out on it. And in a way he's right! Its messed up to say, but Negan has a point. Even now, Rick is so hellbent on trying to take down Negan that he may end up getting more of his people killed in the process, either directly or by not paying close enough attention. The Kingdom has lost a lot of their people already, Alexandria is now Walker territory, Garbage people have been wiped out. Only people left are at Hilltop and Oceanside (who aren't exactly ready to help Rick's group at the moment). Things don't look good for our group.
What you say makes perfect sense. Rick did explain himself to Carl and why he tried to scare off Siddique spelling?) and Carl took it upon himself to ignore his wishes and follow his moral compass. So I suppose its not a big matter of Rick being a less effective leader (that I might attribute to the Rick/Daryl situation when Daryl went off halfcocked, but thats another story). Regardless of that point, it seems Negan is taking full advantage of Rick's grief whether intentional or not.
Hi Guys, another great episode of TWD. I can't help thinking about Rick and the lessons that he hasn't learnt yet. Although I can feel for him, to some sad degree, Negan made some very valid points during their conversation. It was really cool seeing the sadness expressed by Negan over hearing about Karl's death. Can't wait for next week. Awesome reaction as always guys.
Oh my goddd! As soon as the episode ended last night I was needing to hear other peoples opinions about it so I am sitting there with my husband and I said "I cannot wait til my friends upload their reaction!!" His response "you mean thaf couple that you don't know and have never met?" ..lol. i was clearly very excited to hear what you guys thought! This was another rough one for me.. I felt heartbroken when we saw Negan's reaction to Carl dying. I believe that Negan was genuinely upset about it and somehow I actually ended up feeling bad for him. Dying to know.. what do you guys think about it?? I don't know how to feel!!

the most terrifying thing about negan is you dont know when hes going to snap. your playing pool with him one second and the next you been disembowled. im never worried when hes yelling at people...its when hes calm and reasonable that id run away screaming. and simon should definitly be thinking about running away....unless hes planning a coup. i didnt count how many saviors were with him but itd be enough to cause a civil war within the ranks....which negan cant afford. this may be the beginning of the end of negans reign or it might be the end of simon....i wouldnt bet money either way
I thought this episode was amazing. I feel like Simon's the actual villain here. Negan's just the master player. Simon's brutal when unleashed. Good character though. Negan clearly does what he does for what he views as the greater good. Not that I'm happy with his actions (Glenn, Abe, blowing up freaking Alexandria, etc.) but I still understand them. Rick isn't an angel himself.... (still love Rick though) I actually felt bad for Jadis. That had to be hard for her because that was her community. Those were her people...and don't even get me started on "the" scene... ewww. Plus she was talking in full sentences. Say what?!?! I feel like Rick is still trying to process Carls death. Poor guy. Michonne broke my heart. I'm SO excited that Carl wrote a letter to Negan. I was hoping for that myself. I feel like Enid is really going to step up soon. Carl's death is going to break her heart but I think she'll come out stronger. The Negan/Rick conversation was a highlight for me. Negan really laid into Rick. Made me sad for Rick because it clearly got to him. Negan obviously cared about Carl. Carl made that much of an impact on him in such a short amount of time. It's crazy! You could see his pain when he found out he was dead! Jeffrey is an amazing actor. Andy too! This whole cast is freaking brilliant. Next week's episode looks insane! Great reaction guys. I agree with Neegan it was Rick's attention focused on taking Neegan down and being separated from Carl for too long that he wasn't able to protect him and that was his point which I side with completely
Carl was practically an adult. Rick cannot be on him 24/7 even as a little kid, let alone as a young man. It's also the world Carl wants to build- one of community. I'm surprised you would think Rick was a bad father because his kid died. People die and they die a lot in his world. It's amazing he lasted so long when most did not.
I can see from both sides but Rick didnt failed as a leader and a father carl gonna be carl gonna go out there alone not thinking and not telling anyone what he doing or going see how carl went on his own on season 7 of walking dead
Okay, I’m a big TWD fan, and I love watching all of this kind of reaction videos after each episode. I’ve been watching you guys for a while now, so now it’s time to take part in the comment section 👍 First of all, I think that Neegan’s reaction was 100% legit. No matter if I agree with him, don’t agree or partially agree, I think he was sincere. And I truly don’t think he pushed it over the top just to get/stay inside of Rick’s head. Neegan said exactly what he believes,. You guys mention “Where was Rick when Carl went out to save Sadiq? He should have helped him”. No... Rick should’ve never shot “at” Sadiq to scare him off in the first place, and this would’ve never happened. But once Rick is determined to something, he won’t let anything at all, threat or no threat, come between him and his goal. And I personally think that it’s really sad to see him keep this up after Carl’s death. Of course I get that he’s hurting a lot, and that peace between him and Neegan is less likely than Carl coming back, but the way he went about it with Jadis, and the way he doesn’t even stop for a second to think about/consider his son’s dying wish, is really truly sad. I think Negan’s emotions were real and he said all those things to Rick because he was angry that Rick allowed him to die and that’s how he is dealing with his grief

She, like King Ezekiel. "faked it til she made it". Rick has already spit on Carl's wishes. Leaving Jadis behind was a dick move, as was reading Negan's note before he even read his own. Simon's days are indeed numbered. Rick's "I'm going to kill you." is getting tiresome. Perhaps if he changed it to, "Hello, my name is Rick Grimes. You killed my people. Prepare to die.". :-)

Negan is totally right. Rick is the reason why Carl is dead. He should have let Carl bring Sadiq to Alexandria. Had that happened, Carl would be alive. I think Negan isn't playing mind games at all. Negan really respected Carl. Rick messed up big time. What a failure.
Negan was wrong about rick being the reason for Carl dying. Except he was right. Its not because Rick wasn't there to stop him, its because Rick scared Sadiq away instead of bringing him in, in the first place. If he had Carl wouldnt have been out there looking for him. Even if Rick had stopped him a second time Carl would've gone back out.
This was a good episode as well. 1. Negan is totally going to waste Simon once he finds out what he did to the garbage people. 2. I'm glad Cindy decided to let Aaron and Enid go, natania did get herself killed. 3. Michonne and Rick trying to put that fire out was heartbreaking. 4. I felt sorry for Jadis even though it was her fault, she shouldn't have kept switching sides now all of her people are dead. I actually hope Rick and Michonne go back to help her. 5. Also it was gross as hell to see Jadis blend her own people. 6. Simon did have a point when he was trying to tell Negan that maybe they need to learn their lesson because obviously negans way isn't working anymore and the other communities aren't listening.

Great episode. It seemed to go by really quickly. I think Negan was genuinely affected. He might have been playing mind games, or he may have been lashing out a bit like Rick was. As far as "Was it Rick's fault?" If he didn't chase Siddiq off in the first place, Carl wouldn't have gone back for him. I think Rick made that connection in the last episode. I've been wondering if that will come up again. I know you watch Talking Dead. Do you watch it before you read comments? There were a couple things I wanted to reference tonight, but I didn't want to spoil anything. Great reaction and discussion, and kudos to whoever it was that called the letter to Negan.
Brandon Goodman I wasn't necessarily saying it was Rick's fault, just that he might feel some guilt there. It seemed like he had that thought when he said "He was the one from the gas station." It's one of those "If only I had done something differently" things that can haunt someone. It's not Siddiq's fault either though. It was Carl's idea to kill those walkers. If it was anyone's fault, it was his own.

Simon probably did the same thing to the husbands, fathers, and brothers of the Oceanside women too. It was mentioned in the episode "Swear" that the Saviors killed them all for fighting against them.
You saw the way he lied to Negan as well, people tried to tell me 'Oh he's smart he knows!" He doesn't know squat! He knows about the library, he probably knows that a community up and left but he doesn't know why. The way he verbally abused Rick just now; the writer's need a parallel argument as a case against Negan, he'll need to see he didn't have the control he thought he had and either Rick will the same 'blame the victim' crap on Negan or someone more innocent or appropriate (Cyndie or Maggie) will get to do it.

when carl and rick first came across sidiq, carl wanted to help and the fact that rick shot at him making him run is what caused carl to go back, which leads to the bite... so in that sense yes its ricks fault he should have either followed carls lead at that moment giving sidiq a chance or he, should've killed him, but at the same time since season 2 carl has always gotten himself into some stupid situtaions on the farm and the walker that killed dale, almost dying leading the walkers away from the house rick and him were in after the prison, going after negan by hiding in the truck, that would have killed him if it was'nt for negan having a little respect for carl....... so yeah negan is correct in saying it's ricks fault but it's also carl's fault for doing things without fully thinking things out but remember carls is still a kid he's only 12or 13 during all out war in the comics.....

It's been going around for a while that Simon is actually the real monster of the saviours. After seeing this it may have been him that executed the men of Oceanside. Negan might not even know about it.
It's amazing how Rick's own words to Jadis came back to haunt him moments after leaving her. He saw that she was broken and full of guilt after losing her people/family, yet he still took the chance to hurt her more by saying it was her fault that they died. Only to have Negan use Rick's pain and guilt of Carl's death to hurt him. I really hope that Rick honor Carl's wishes and go back to save her. Because she seems very resourceful and who's to say that she actually gave all of their weapons to Simon. She might be sitting on a gold mine masked in garbage.

Did you want them to stay at the farm for 7 seasons roasting marshmallows and singing kumbaya ??? I did see a comment recently from someone saying like it would be cool if after a 2 year period, the strain mutates and the walkers become agile and faster.......... BUT, they are so decomposed by now that it would be hard. Trying to think of ways to boost the show!
The truth hurts, but Negan is right about Rick. Carl would have never went out to help Siddiq if Rick would have just taken him in originally. If Rick was that worried about Siddiq being a Savior, they had a jail cell that Morgan built he could have stayed in.

I think Negan assumed Rick would reach up to stop him and then he would get to kill Rick. The person he really wanted dead.
Negan liked and cared for Carl , I think the look on his face after learning Carl was dead was absolutely 100% genuine .
Another thought. I think Negan is getting suspicious, and, will decide to visit the garbage people, himself. When he gets there, he will see all the destruction, and, realize they are all dead. He will also see the blue paint everywhere. That's when he will remember the blue paint on Simon's shoe. That is when Negan will connect the dots, and deal with out of control Simon.

Another great review! Your both right. Carl, if you remember, has always been an explorer. From way back to the farm. When Dale was killed by a walker he basically freed. Now on that note, I always thought that Rick and Lori were very relaxed with parenting him. Especially in a zombie apocalypse! I think they raised him that way to help others, and he definitely was going to do what he wanted.
No rick basically was at fault , he could have taken sadiq when Carl first saw him , he was not a threat and if rick hadn’t shot above his head , Carl wouldn’t have tried getting him back .

I really liked this episode, imo it's the best so far . Really liked the scenes with Negan and Simon , we haven't seen him question Negans decsions before so that was good . Never had any love for Jadis and her people but what Simon did was so very wrong , he went way to far . After Jadis watched her people get shot to death then had to grind them into slop , she looked like a woman messed up and broken enough to wear walker skins ! After everything Carl said to Rick , leaving Jadis felt so wrong . Rick shot over her head like he did with Saddiq , it didn't end well the first time and I'm thinking this time will have deadly consequences also . I don't think Negan is right about Carl dying being Ricks fault, only because Carl told Rick a father's job is to love only to love . As parents we try to always protect our kids and as hard as we try we can't always protect them , but we can always love them no matter what. So if Carls good with that so am I lol . Ok I'm done lol , can't wait for more !!

Negan, in the other hand, does put up with that shit as he's shown before and yeah, we can debate the same with Rick but only if the conflict is between outsiders and him. Negan exceeds at being a ruler better than Rick because of that. I feel like there's a difference between a ruler and a leader. I think of a ruler as someone who straight up takes charge, Negan. I think of a leader as someone who is followed by a group, Rick. Tell me, who's doing better as what their entitlement are? When Negan finds out about what Simon did, he will not hesitate to grab Lucille by the pussy and bash it in on Simon's head unless Simon is planning to overthrow Negan before then cause think about it (if Rick does not say, and Negan finds out himself), doesn't that mean that Simon has people behind him? Same people who did not notify Negan of what happened (story could go there) but my point is, Negan don't hold back unless if he's using reasoning but he will get at you. Rick, clearly does not care about that anymore and has shown little care in that aspect multiple times.
It's not Rick's fault Carl died. Saving Siddiq was not a bad move. Even I didn't know Siddiq's storyline. Negan was being a pocket to Rick. But yes, Negan is/was emotional about Carl.
Rick approached that conversation horribly, and people are gonna say its because of Carl's death... but Rick been saying he's gonna kill Negan since they first met.

Brandon Goodman No, when she first met Rick she didnt want anything to do with his fight with Negan, after she shot him, he came back again and she said, "No", if she had stayed out of Rick's conflict they would still be alive. The same can be said for the Woodbury survivors, the kingdom, and Alexandria. Every community they make contact with is eventually destroyed, they are bad news. .
I really appreciated this episode. (Especially since I called it, ha!) We see, perhaps, the beginning of the end for Simon. Deliberately killed all those people at the landfill. People are a resource, and Simon dumped them all against Negan's orders. Simon may find himself in that furnace sooner or later.
I'm convinced that Negan believes what he is saying to Rick, that Carl's death is in some way Rick's fault. It also happens to screw with Rick's head while he's in a shattered state looking for someone to let his anger out on. I think Negan realizes this and calls Rick out on it. And in a way he's right! Its messed up to say, but Negan has a point. Even now, Rick is so hellbent on trying to take down Negan that he may end up getting more of his people killed in the process, either directly or by not paying close enough attention.
The Kingdom has lost a lot of their people already, Alexandria is now Walker territory, Garbage people have been wiped out. Only people left are at Hilltop and Oceanside (who aren't exactly ready to help Rick's group at the moment). Things don't look good for our group.
What you say makes perfect sense. Rick did explain himself to Carl and why he tried to scare off Siddique spelling?) and Carl took it upon himself to ignore his wishes and follow his moral compass. So I suppose its not a big matter of Rick being a less effective leader (that I might attribute to the Rick/Daryl situation when Daryl went off halfcocked, but thats another story). Regardless of that point, it seems Negan is taking full advantage of Rick's grief whether intentional or not.
I wonder if Negan really believes Carl is dead. Remember Rick lied about Maggie being dead and look how that turned out for Negan

Hi Guys, another great episode of TWD. I can't help thinking about Rick and the lessons that he hasn't learnt yet. Although I can feel for him, to some sad degree, Negan made some very valid points during their conversation. It was really cool seeing the sadness expressed by Negan over hearing about Karl's death. the most terrifying thing about negan is you dont know when hes going to snap. your playing pool with him one second and the next you been disembowled. im never worried when hes yelling at people...its when hes calm and reasonable that id run away screaming. and simon should definitly be thinking about running away....unless hes planning a coup. i didnt count how many saviors were with him but itd be enough to cause a civil war within the ranks....which negan cant afford. this may be the beginning of the end of negans reign or it might be the end of simon....i wouldnt bet money either way
I thought this episode was amazing.
I feel like Simon's the actual villain here. Negan's just the master player. Simon's brutal when unleashed. Good character though. Negan clearly does what he does for what he views as the greater good. Not that I'm happy with his actions (Glenn, Abe, blowing up freaking Alexandria, etc.) but I still understand them. Rick isn't an angel himself.... (still love Rick though)
I actually felt bad for Jadis. That had to be hard for her because that was her community. Those were her people...and don't even get me started on "the" scene... ewww. Plus she was talking in full sentences. Say what?!?!

The Negan/Rick conversation was a highlight for me. Negan really laid into Rick. Made me sad for Rick because it clearly got to him. Negan obviously cared about Carl. Carl made that much of an impact on him in such a short amount of time. It's crazy! You could see his pain when he found out he was dead! Jeffrey is an amazing actor. Andy too! This whole cast is freaking brilliant.

Carl was practically an adult. Rick cannot be on him 24/7 even as a little kid, let alone as a young man. It's also the world Carl wants to build- one of community. I'm surprised you would think Rick was a bad father because his kid died. People die and they die a lot in his world. It's amazing he lasted so long when most did not.

Okay, I’m a big TWD fan, and I love watching all of this kind of reaction videos after each episode. I’ve been watching you guys for a while now, so now it’s time to take part in the comment section 👍 First of all, I think that Neegan’s reaction was 100% legit. No matter if I agree with him, don’t agree or partially agree, I think he was sincere. And I truly don’t think he pushed it over the top just to get/stay inside of Rick’s head. Neegan said exactly what he believes,.
You guys mention “Where was Rick when Carl went out to save Sadiq? He should have helped him”. No... Rick should’ve never shot “at” Sadiq to scare him off in the first place, and this would’ve never happened. But once Rick is determined to something, he won’t let anything at all, threat or no threat, come between him and his goal. And I personally think that it’s really sad to see him keep this up after Carl’s death. Of course I get that he’s hurting a lot, and that peace between him and Neegan is less likely than Carl coming back, but the way he went about it with Jadis, and the way he doesn’t even stop for a second to think about/consider his son’s dying wish, is really truly sad.

I think Negan’s emotions were real and he said all those things to Rick because he was angry that Rick allowed him to die and that’s how he is dealing with his grief
bottom line, Negan is still trying to mind f* Rick. His logic continues to be twisted- killing Abraham & Glenn to save them (?!?) Rick hasn’t failed as a leader, nor has he failed as a father... Carl was a badass, and has repeatedly taken out walkers & saviors left & right... his getting bitten was a freak occurrence, simply that (and I still think that kid he shot at the prison was shady, and about to do him & Hershel in)
Negan did to Rick what Rick just did to Jadis... went into ABUSIVE husband mode and blamed the victim! To make them feel like the perpetrator....See what you did? B/S!!!! Rick has just opened the door to turn Jadis into a Monster (like Alpha) because of all the trauma, all he had to do was save her. Simon's days are indeed numbered. Rick's "I'm going to kill you." is getting tiresome. Perhaps if he changed it to, "Hello, my name is Rick Grimes. You killed my people. Prepare to die.". :-)

Negan was wrong about rick being the reason for Carl dying. Except he was right. Its not because Rick wasn't there to stop him, its because Rick scared Sadiq away instead of bringing him in, in the first place. If he had Carl wouldnt have been out there looking for him. Even if Rick had stopped him a second time Carl would've gone back out.

2. I'm glad Cindy decided to let Aaron and Enid go, natania did get herself killed.

4. I felt sorry for Jadis even though it was her fault, she shouldn't have kept switching sides now all of her people are dead. I actually hope Rick and Michonne go back to help her.

Great episode. It seemed to go by really quickly. I think Negan was genuinely affected. He might have been playing mind games, or he may have been lashing out a bit like Rick was. As far as "Was it Rick's fault?" If he didn't chase Siddiq off in the first place, Carl wouldn't have gone back for him. I think Rick made that connection in the last episode. I've been wondering if that will come up again.

Brandon Goodman I wasn't necessarily saying it was Rick's fault, just that he might feel some guilt there. It seemed like he had that thought when he said "He was the one from the gas station." It's one of those "If only I had done something differently" things that can haunt someone. It's not Siddiq's fault either though. It was Carl's idea to kill those walkers. If it was anyone's fault, it was his own.

Rick is so cold sometimes, it's funny he told Jadis her people dying was her fault and Negan did the same to him. Negan and Rick are alot alike..both very insensitive and manipulative. .

where the hell is Heath remains my most burning question.. however.... rick and simon had blue paint splashed on their boots... that has to be leading to something... Negans reaction to Carls death was so heart felt . his anger towards RIck for letting it happen. We know RIck didnt cause his death. Carl was going to show mercy to anyone. I think the rest of the season will quickly turn into WWCD.. What would Carl do? Im dreading the others finding out about Carls death.. Im dreading the letters being read.

they should have saved Sadiq together when they first met him at the gas station.. Carl said right away this guy is different and we still have to give people a chance but rick was to focused on wiping out all the saviors
