Great stuff from Italy, respect from an England fan
I was at stadio Olimpico, Great match, Great atmosphere! Super heart of Italian team.
I can't believe they didn't show a single replay of the massive hit at 5:45. Instead we got a replay of a trip that no one had seen. I'm not debating the trip but that was a prime "home tv director" moment haha
Complimenti!!! Davvero bravi.
I'd love to see a closer shot and different angles on that Steward tackle against Allan at 74:30 looked absolutely brutal.
🥱🥱🥱🥱🥱🥱

Mr Cav, Michael doesn’t like people talking about dangerous tackles if they’re made by English players. Please respect his right to put his fingers in his ears.
(Personally, I felt it looked fine. Perhaps a penalty for not wrapping and, if being a real pedant, a bit late, but I suspect that’s why he didn’t wrap - because he decided against the tackle at the very last minute).
Can somebody explain how @ 3:40 is not a forward pass? Releases it almost on the line. Player receives 5 yards ahead of the line.
Thank you please clarify
I was there at the stadium very close to the pitch and I freaked out they didn't call it forward
Clear fwd pass at 3:41
Saw that live.. I thought the ref would've checked it
@@stefanoc3348 You can even hear the ref saying "it's good"... 🤦♂
Match stolen clsssic anglos
Insane stolen victory it's a shame
Not stolen when Italy were never in the lead after minute 50 in second half
Great match, well played Italy, from an Englishman
That's great rugby here!!!
While I can undersand the need for a fullback who is great under the high ball at test match level. I feel Steward doesnt offer enough in attack. Makes it very difficult to put players into space in wide channels when you have so little attacking threat from 12,13 and 15.
Wierd, I think he’s quite decent in attack. It’s the fact that he regularly gets caught out in defence speed wise that bothers me.
England don’t offer much altogether in attack…Italy’s attack was better which is quite embarrassing
what is Underhill doing at 03:50?
My team for Wales would be:
Marler, George, Heyes,
Itoje, Coles
Roots,Earl, Underhill
Mitchell, F Smith
Freeman, Slade
Roebuck, Steward, Feyi-Waboso
Bench: Genge, Dan, Cole, Chessum, Pearson, Spencer, Ford, Furbank
Nice team that. Definitely need the bulk at 12
Chessum at 6, Roots at 8, Earl at 7
I would start Cole on the front row. Get a solid scrum at the start. But that would be my preferred backs with Lawrence injured 👍
Why Ellis Genge on the bench? He needs to be fired up, the baby rhino is an animal on his day
You have to be a solid scrummager to be a test level prop let alone starting a test match
Saka, Alvarez, Kaka are my guesses
Nah yeah, everyone's right, Italy don't belong in this contest right??? HAHA
England were shite and they still lost? Your point is
Good game. Nice competition.
Italy missed a penalty kick. Would've been a draw.
Watched the game, thought that 27-17 was a fair score
Italy didn’t do themselves justice in France at the World Cup.
They didn’t but they also played against much better opposition like New Zealand
@@jakehowie442 Well England ran South Africa closer than New Zealand did . So I’m not sure there is that much distance them.
Well done Italy 🇮🇹
Great stuff from Italy indeed.
Wonder who they will turn over this year?
England were made to look average, very average.
Give Ireland the cup already. England playing for 4th at best.
You’re right, England gone even further backwards since Jones left. Borthwick is so out of his depth
Ireland will tear England to shreds...
A huge gulf in class
Now now. Don’t be all bitter because we were the best northern hemisphere team at the World Cup. 😂😂😂
Don’t be embarrassing, England just scraped past Argentina
Itoje is the 🐐
Mitchell try was illegal stolen match
No it wasn't
The first Italian try was so forward it makes no difference if it was but it wasn't
@@alanrickett2537 Which pass was fw? Or are you talking about this one ua-cam.com/video/0notg2gKzkI/v-deo.html?
@@diegobenedetti6569 the 9ne that never touched a knee and if it did that knee and everything attached to it were already in front of the ball
Anglos cry in my comment
2:30 - Commentator - "Rugby's Greatest Championship" - LMAO - watch the Rugby Championship in the Southern Hemisphere some time,.
So many abhorrent English fans in the comments. Can’t we just accept that we DON’T have the players. We beat Italy, away from home, despite them being stronger on paper, particularly across the backs. That should be seen as a GOOD result. I know we all like to think that we have the best players in the World but it’s just not true. Pick any team in the 6N, to pair up with, and the other team would have more players in a combined 23. With the exception of Lawrence and Smith, we have NO Test-day Lions in our squad and, on top of that, neither would start. Once one actually accepts that cold truth, it’s possible to see just how brilliantly the team has done recently.
I guess the frustration comes from a lot of the fans when asking the question, “Why don’t we have more elite players?” Loads fleeing to France for big pay days, fans with lofty expectations, a negative press, poorly managed Premiership Clubs abs the death of rugby in schools. There was talk of even banning it altogether in schools and arguments it should be considered abusive.
Abhorrent because they don’t share your blinkered view of the team?
Elliot Daley played for the lions ya mug, so did Freddie Stewart, Itoje. Borthwick keeps picking a shite inexperienced team.
Any England Fan who is happy with this game will be in for years of disappointment. Jamie George’s physical conditioning is horrendous. No leg drive in contact and gets stopped on gain-line at best. Itoje, a once great player, is a spent force and offers nothing at the very top level. Our props are average and get found out time and again at test level. Bringing Dan Cole on is a huge step backwards, he has been found out multiple times. Our back row should be effective but they don’t have the support of a dynamic tight five . I would stick with Mitchell (proper test animal) and forget Care (great club player who crumbles at test level), his record of throwing away games at the highest level speaks for itself. He’s a fantastic club player who doesn’t possess a test match animal mentality . Ford is a class operator but Slade has zero Gas or physical capability (you need to have smash and gas , neither of which he possesses) Freeman had a good game and would love to see ADAM RADWAN on the other wing….we need top level gas at this level and we are severely wanting. I don’t want Welsh players drafted in to do an Englishman’s job. All round despairing performance which is indicative of Borthwick boring approach . I have repeatedly called out his lack of vision and a year into the job I see no difference . At least Eddie Jones had an immediate impact .
Wow, frostyfreeway2320 called out Borthwick and the RFU didn’t listen to them. What has the world come to?
The world has come to view England rugbys near-mediocrity as normal ….. and England fans don’t care
@@frostysfreeway2320
It’s not a case of “not caring”. It’s a case of understanding that Rome wasn’t built in a day. England were an utter shambles when he took over and that won’t be fixed overnight. It’s worth noting that Farrell’s Ireland weren’t exactly lighting the world on fire when he first took over. Now look at them. Have some patience before jumping to the conclusion that all hope is lost.
Will also point out that France only beat Italy by 5 points last year.
Troll FO
Yeah mate, Slade is the only back with flair and Rugby IQ, but let’s have another crash dummy running straight in the middle and chase kicks lol
“Smash and Gas” damn what it is this vision of rugby.
Yawn 🥱
