Hey I flipped my phone so I couldn't see the screen and I heard no major audible differences from one to the other. Impressive seeing that there is a 300$ difference from one to the other. If anything I found the squire darker but again only when I watched a second time facing the phone this time and paying closer attention. At a gig with drums and base, I doubt very much anyone would hear the difference from one to the other in a band mix! Rock on!
Thanks for taking the time to listen and sorry you had to sit through my playing twice. I did a similar thing. I had it on in the back ground looked up and saw the Tease went back to work same playing was going on... looked up again and it was the Squire. Crazy... It's time for under the hood of both. I'll post those vids in the next day or so. I am trying not to upload all the vids in one day (ha!).
@philliplee1193 my main gigging guitar has a set of 300$ Joe Barden Modern T Gatton pickups in it. The other week, I put out a video on a mini squire Strat I was fixing up to give away, and I recorded some footage of a live gig playing the mini Strat for a few songs. The difference was virtually unnoticeable to 99% of the people in the crowd! At the end of the day, I think the player makes the guitar speak, not the pickups... So from a squire Strat to a Tease Strat, both budget guitars, my guess is the sound difference would be virtually inaudible and there's a good chance those pups are all made in the same factory. Only the specs would be different 🤔
The soundalikedness- there's a new word for ya! - was not that surprising to me as my ST-1 and CV both sound like Strats. After some gain whatever clean differences there were went away for me.
Thanks for hanging out on the channel and for your thoughts, Cal. I meant to ask you, did you say you put a Tusk nut in the Tease? If so, could you share the model number with me? Also, was it drop in or was it a thing?
Hard to tell. Lots of reverb and the long distance mic make it pretty tough to know what's what. But I love your channel! Keep up the good work! Really tempted to get one of the tease t style when they come back in stock
Thanks, Scott. Appreciate you hanging out on the channel and for the kind words about it. Sorry about the mic (its a long story). As for the reverb... it was just a "touch" which for me is always toward full tilt (smile). What Tease are looking at getting?
The T’s sounds thinner, the SS frets may be a part of that. I think that your Classic Vibe’s price difference paid off in those pickups , and may be who knows the pots capacitors as well. As well as the bent steel Fender saddles being better, it’s tuning keys being better, may be even the wood of its neck being better. Just an overall more pleasing sound from your Classic vibe .
St-1 spr has the ceramic pickups right? I think they have a model with the alnico v pickups. I know the st2 has them, but lacks the stainless frets. If tease has some models with all the upgrades for under 250. That would be something. Great playing though.
As always, thanks for the comment and hanging out on the channel. Yes, the ST-1 has the waxed potted pickups. I am not 100% sure but I believe Torsten has said that with the ST-2 they have peaked and going forward all new models will simply be called STs. However, I am not sure if the STs they land on will have stainless steel frets or not. You might reach out to Tease. They are good about getting back with people about their questions. Rock on! @teaseguitars

Unless your phone’s hooked up to some little powered speakers you’ll not be able to tell

@@TedTalksGuitars Looking at the HSB. Either the blue or Green (non burst). Most likely the Envy
I like both soundings ❤❤
