The way his colours change from, green (the royal family colour), white, brown and blues to black (the darkling’s colour) by the end is interesting. Shows that his innocence and I guess his playful child like adventurous side is going and how the nishevo’ya wound is infecting his mind (as the potential arc for season 3 from what I read is for him to mental effect instead of physical like Jekyll & Hyde) which makes more sense
I feel like they did him dirty at the end like yeah he's infected with the creature but having Alina still around ? What that's not what happens in the king of scars it's Zoya who helps him I wanna see Nikolai and Zoya
@@AllDaGoodUsernamesWereTaken idk if my opinion is popular or not, but s2 is as bad as the 1st one was good. All the lines in the 1st one were amazingly connected, here it felt like the creators were in a hurry. All the lines are by themselves, no development, love couples are forced. And all the changes don't work, in my opinion.
@@AllDaGoodUsernamesWereTaken not sure if my opinion matters, but I really enjoyed the second season. It is different from the books but it draws and remixes the material in a good way. I think a lot of people are being reactive due to the fact any changes happened, without considering the potiential going forward and context for why the changes were made.
@@caitlinb35that’s exactly why I didn’t like the second season. I could handle the changes right up until the end. Alina’s story should have been over, but the writers love her and Jessie too much to let Alina go so they rewrote her ending. My concern is that they’ve made it basically impossible to make a season 3 resemble the books. Alina being a main character is going to detract from the whole King of Scars storyline.
@@sanjanayoganand4476 yeah, but also I could have some expectations from the portrayal of the character and the chance of dissatisfaction would be higher
@@lenakataeva7525 True, but Patrick Gibbson did NOT disappoint! I'm saying this as someone who's read the books: I had VERY high expectations for Nikolai, and Paddy did perfect justice to the role.
Easily my favorite character of S2, thank god some series finally show a good king otherwise I thought he will turn bad midway, plus I love his chemistry with Alina
Did any other book readers spend all of seven and some of eight imaging he gets to the mid point of the Fold and he'd get pulled off into the night. My only concern here is that they are kind of totally off base for book three but they have kind of set up King of Scars with just some minor steps and I don't know if Netflix has rights to those two books yet.
I love him! The character, the actor, his interactions with other characters, everything!
me too! 😍
