The Immortal Saga of Adem Jashari - Part 1

- In this first episode, I will cover how Adem Jashari gradually develops a deep contempt for the Yugoslav regime that oppressed the Albanian population during the student protestsin the 1980s and the killing of his friend Tahir Meha by Serbian police in 1983. A few years later, Adem answers the call to arms and begins his military training in Albania in 1991. After Adem returns home from his military training, his family house was surrounded by Serbian military police, leading to a decisive battle where Adem and his brothers defend their family with their lives.

Who else has taken on powerful military tanks with just basic home guns? It’s similar to how Legendary warrior known around the world George Kastrioti Skanderbeg fought for Europe and beat the Ottoman Empire even though he was outnumbered.
In today’s terms, it’s like Taiwan defeating the USA. 🤯
Albanians have always been fierce fighters with a proud history going back to the ancient Illyrians. The spirit of the Albanian heart will overcome anyone in its lands. Albanians will also remember and honor the Jashari family for their brave fight for freedom. Rest in peace to the Jashari family.

Bosnians should learn a few lessons from Albanians. I haven't heard a single story of such actions in Bosnia until the war. Serbs had to kill thousands of our brothers for us to fight for our freedom

A great short documentary showing how the Albanian resistance began, and the role that Adem Jashari played in it. I am very glad that it is done in English, so that foreigners can truly understand the horrible conditions Albanians were living in under Serbian rule, and they can also truly understand the Jashari family’s bravery throughout the years.
