    Amazing video. Congratulations!
    I own a 2007 W211 (e320) and the radiator is cracked in the same spot as yours. I would like to know your opinion on repairing the crack using epoxy resin based sealant instead of replacing the radiator. Im considering this as an interim repair because a new radiator would take more than a week to be shipped and delivered to me.

      I suppose in the mean time it could work in a pinch. However replacing the radiator is DEFINITELY recommended.

      Guillermo Rios How much came out? There shouldn’t have been much that came out if you lifted up the lines. You can refill whatever came out back into the transmission dipstick tube. Remove the red cover and use a funnel to refill the amount you lost.

    Great video, I think my rad has gone today! Lost a load of coolant, refilled, but then after about 5 minutes running idle my e350 displays the "refill coolant" message and runs around 85c on idle. Also the top coolant hose to the rad had completely come lose, I had to pop it back in. Strange. But yeah I may have a lose hose or a faulty rad. :(

    • @HelpingHandAutoRepair
      @HelpingHandAutoRepair  3 роки тому

      85 *C is completely normal for idling on these cars. If you filled it up and then when you went back out to check it and it was low, then you are leaking coolant somewhere.
      If you filled it up and then the low coolant light came on and your reservoir is still at the same level, then you probably just have a problem with your coolant level sensor that sits on the bottom of the reservoir.

    Great videos! How did you know there was a crack? Did you see fluids on the ground or was there an error code? Also, is there any maintenance that can be done for the SBC brake system?

    • @HelpingHandAutoRepair
      @HelpingHandAutoRepair  6 років тому +1

      Earl Anthony Limos No check engine lights. These radiators have been known to crack into the driver (Left-hand drive) side air scoop area. My radiator is original Mercedes part and so I was basically waiting for it to crack. It did just as I was parking one day and lost around 1/2-3/4 gallon of coolant.

    Hi, I own a 2007 w211 (E350) and I need to replace the cooling fan. The question is if it's the same fan that in the w219 cls 350 ? Thanks a lot

    • @HelpingHandAutoRepair
      @HelpingHandAutoRepair  2 роки тому

      Yes. They are very similar. You won’t have the heat exchanger like this CLS does on the bottom. Should be the same except for that.

      Oh. That’s my fault for not reading fully lol. The fans are probably different. I was thinking you meant the procedure to replace the 350 fan vs. the CLS fan. You can easily purchase that correct fan for the 350 online of from the parts store.

    Did you loose much transmission fluid when you disconnected the lines from the cooler?. My CLS550 has one of those non-serviceable transmissions....No dipstick that is..
