The funny part is the money isn't in being the car wash guy. It's the people who make the car wash products and sell these rigs. There's so many guys out there washing cars that they undercut each other. And make no profits.
Nice set up and supplies. I have my own detail business too. You can cut down on miles per gallon by keeping 80% of your back up supplies at home if you have space. In my opinion you have too many chemicals & sprays and most are back up supplies. Bring what you use the most during the day & week and keep the other stuff at home. All the stuff adds weight and you will burn fuel quickly. I try to keep my back up supplies at home. By the way, your old video with your supplies that you showed got me motivated in getting my business & supplies. I'm like you, I got all my supplies, van and advertisement within a few months. I'm one that wants all my supplies before working on a job and want to make sure I'll have it on hand to be prepared. Thanks for your videos.

Though before you put that much resources in, including non tangible rss like time and effort, you should know that this is something you could wake up every morning and go do. Cleaning is not hard, but getting up and doing it everyday isn't for everyone. Also, to be good it can't "just be a job" or a "way to make money." Managing a business, either self employed or with employees, is also something more than just being able to do whatever that business does (in this case detailing cars). Being able to make a budget, which is a financial plan, and using it consistently is a very important skills to have. The basics needed to clean a car well can fit in the trunk of your car, assuming it's not full of stuff already. Don't forget to think outside the box and to look for solutions, not problems. Something you may want to Google is "dirt trap bucket gamma seal." For the dirt trap I would go with the one from Chimical Guys. Just starting off and trying to avoid buying a big water tank and generator for as long as I can. People really don't ever have an issue with you using their power/water? Dope set up. You running deionized water in that tank? Good to hear the pressure washer is holding up with the low pressure water source. Ever thought of a leaf blower? Greenworks is at Costco for a good price.. or people really like the EGO one too. As long as ground is a damp from the wash you wont be blowing up the dust back on the car. There is the Big Boi Blower and the MasterBlaster Rev as well that have filters and are heated.. no I’m not making those names up 😂 (i use the BigBoi with a 30 ft hose)

I must ask tho, as a starting again detailer wanting to have all the best stuff, the amount of soaps And waxes is overwhelming .. do use the under coat soap and the degreasers and bug sprays as specific as possible ? / is it necessary or can you use some soaps for all of those as it’s similarly the same type of material on the car .. plastic and metal for undercarriage… grille .. I like zep as a good cheap one I’ve used all around the house and sometimes my car for some parts even though it’s hella strong. Same thing with all the waxes and polishes. Gonna watch some more to really define my question but anyways if you do get to this thanks a lot and keep doing great !! Your by Covina or whenever, in not far but in a whole nother valley on the other side! Bringing the quality over there
The generator is not electric. It’s a internal combustion motor which is why you have to put GASOLINE in it. It is just an INVERTER style which is much quieter than a traditional internal combustion style. Not trying to hate just trying to help inform anyone that is interested.

Or Malco Tru Grit is a very good coumpound too, you'll spend less time to correct some annoying scratches on hard clear coats. Have a good lucky maah boy 🔥🔥🔥

I got a dewalt electric pressure washer 2100psi 1.2 gpm. I bought a MJJC foam cannon and didn’t get the foam I was seeing on videos any suggestions. Also I did change the orifice to a 1.1 mm and used 2 oz of chemical guy mr pink soap . Just trying to clean my vehicle to save me a buck .

And pro tip get a big gas pressure washer I got a predator 4200psi 4.2 gpm it big… but why you might ask? Your a business so that asset can really be put to work on just about everything strong enough to take down graffiti about. you will not regret it so long as you keep it making money on jobs it’s the star of my business this pressure washer and it won’t mess things up get a psi gauge if you don’t want to mess up things it’s pressure is adjustable

And pro tip get a big gas pressure washer I got a predator 4200psi 4.2 gpm it big… but why you might ask? Your a business so that asset can really be put to work on just about everything strong enough to take down graffiti about. you will not regret it so long as you keep it making money on jobs it’s the star of my business this pressure washer and it won’t mess things up get a psi gauge if you don’t want to mess up things it’s pressure is adjustable

The cheap foamers don’t have those small screens/filters inside. Mtm hydro is the best foam sprayer you can buy. The cheap foamers actually waste more soap too!
