And then the first student came and alhamdulillah, Almighty Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala opened the way wherein in a very short time, they were able to complete reading the whole Quran. Sheikh Hassan has been teaching for over 37 years and has helped countless students achieve literacy and confidence in Braille. Braille is basically a system of raised dots that allows blind and visually impaired people to read and write. It is definitely not easy to learn, especially in a language that is as complex as Arabic. You know, the Qur'an itself, the 30 Juz that a normal person can keeping his pocket very small in size. The Braille Quran we have, it's 18.5 kilogram it's very big. When Muhammad first started university, many of the islamic textbooks were not yet available in Braille, which made learning very difficult. In the madrasa, we use the system of Braille.
