I don'tcomment often but I am feeling the urge to support vice against the ungrounded hate this vid gets. Being a scenographer myself I really enjoyed these series. Thanks, Vice!

Hey, I generally dislike fun, but I didn't hate on Spring Break or this, because I just watch it since it seems somehow interesting, it is still good Vice material.

In the 90s there were underground gothic techo raves in broken down industrial warehouses all over L. A. Those party's were the shit, yet all it was some badass Djs, smoke and a few lights.

I always wonder, where do these people get their money from? How do they get involved into their jobs? I mean the usual story with art students here (Germany) is: you study, be poor, end your studies, stay poor. Nothing fancy, no jobs. All you can do is studying some business, engineering stuff and get bored big time.

    This documentary is TERRIBLE....
The "experimental designer" basically rehashed every major "theme" of nightclub lore and pretended it was some new amazing idea....
He's also that guy that always has a stupid idea...he think's he's quirky, creative and the good "weird"...he's just the annoying weird though.
Don't bother watching the rest. You're welcome.

Not that im trying to like hate on you or something, but Spring Breakers is actually very much an art piece just like this, with a good non mainstream director, but also happens to have a disney star or two in it because they are hot and its shocking.

nothing against these videos, but it's because some people actually cant be bothered hearing about kids getting drunk, and how crazy spring break is. and i wouldn't classify watching videos about spring break fun, in fact it's quite the opposite.

Because i watched the first 4 or 5 minutes and couldn't continue. Also i am not on a bandwagon its just a lot of Vice's most recent stuff has been kind of lacking and it shows in the comments and dislikes. And i like that Vice has alot of variety thats one thing that sets it apart from other things its just when you have stupid videos like ATL twins, Spring Breakers, Debbie Harry, and this it shows that they need to start showing other things. Also i like your avatar haha.

No because a large amount of people didn't like it and a large amount of people haven't liked there other recent stuff as well. I am just saying that if a group of people who usually like the stuff they put out all of a sudden stops liking the new content then its safe to say that for the most part they have dropped the ball.

I see sharp class divisions in the vice audience. Poor people can't or don't go to nightclubs, mostly. Nor do they vacation in Florida during the spring. That might have something to do with it. I'm not a big fan of this video because I've seen plenty of stuff like it before in other magazines and on TV. Also, I'm poor and have never been to a nightclub, unless you count stripclubs which both suck for the same reasons: cost, greed, shallowness, ect. Social inequality runs deep in our culture.

  • @pyrof7

  • @weatherkop

You are being pretty harsh on minds behind night life design. If they were to interview Peter Gatien or Michael Alig it wouldnt be much different than these folks. To explain the transcendental culture of night life is boring because one is adding logical insight to the emotional drug fueled spiritual spontaneity perceived view of it by it's patrons. There is a method to the madness, my friend.
