If you’re wiring the buttons to the same line every time you can save the preset on the ardwiino tool that way you don’t have to reprogram it every time
I found one of those guitars, in real good condition at goodwill. Didnt want to pay 40 bucks for the dongle so I just swapped the silicon to my crappy third party guitar. However instead of changing the rubber, I decided that I would change the entire damn fretboard PCB. With zero soldering experience. No research done, I set it all the way to 450c because I thought "hotter = better" Now, the guitar that I was putting parts in was a Wii guitar, which only has one ground for the fretboard. The ps2 guitar had 3. My idea was to strip the ground wires, join the 3 together with solder, and connect it to the board. I ended up destroying one of the solder joints and one on the pogo pin connecter. And then somehow after that I arduino modded an xplorer.
You said you wont be ordering anymore phunkycustoms, im curious as to why? Do you prefer the hobbycnc boards? Someone just gave me this phunky kit to install and it seems pretty good so far but im not finished yet
Mainly because I just solder directly to the micro controllers so it saves me money in the long run, plus relying on others business to sustain my own isn't feasible for my time or fair to their customers if I buy up all the stock.
In no way dishing on the boards. They're quality enough. Only complaint, and it was mentioned in the video, is the fret board pads require more work to get them to be properly soldered, whereas I've seen others incorporate a solution into their boards.
@NinjaPwns AtLife yeah i just killed my fingers bending those poor guys sideways, and then just flooding soldering doesnt feel good at all haha. Im only halfway through this video but im so glad I found your channel. Im a few grades beneath you knowledge wise and am learning a shitton from you
@@ninjapwnsatlyfe V2 Monofret uses Choc Mini switches, which solves this problem and has better specs than normal chocs (lower full travel and actuation distance). They're also made for board cutouts, so no janky pin bending or any other solution, they just solder in through-hole pads.

I do that now but at the time this was my second ever arduino build
So cool seeing gutiars getting modded

I have some old guitars laying around, but none are the xbox one, will arduino modding get it to work on xbox one for rock band ?
You'll need a modded xbox to set up an ardiuno guitar but it does work, but they are perfect for pc.

Where do I buy one ?
So I have a Wiitar. Aaaaand the cord at the back of it broke AS SOON AS I GOT GH3 ON THE WII. is there a way to fix it without exploding myself?
There is a way to replace it. Not overly hard but does require a good amount of solder experience
