Thank you so much, Reedsy, for hosting this Webinar with S.J. Watson. It had so much good information, and Steve kept the mood light throughout. I enjoyed it so much that I'll return to view the recording, to double-check some notes I took, and to see if I missed anything. I was too busy listening to make the one comment I really wanted to: I encourage all writers to discreetly listen to family groups; children with their parents can be a hilarious and genuine source of dialog and story. Thanks again!

I think the block applies to things that require a lot of deep thinking. In my desk job I do get blocks for projects where deep thought is needed. But I don't have blocks on other tasks that are routine/can be done automatically with no thought. Also, where there is no urgency there is no block. Urgency doesn't allow us deep thought so we just have to do what we think of first. That doesn't mean it is the best thing to do. Therefore, I think a lot of occupations have the equivalent of 'writers block'. if an audiologist had to write a difficult report, and was given time to spend on it, they would also get writer's block.

This was a terrific webinar! Although I wanted to attend it live, the time zone was a problem (being in the New Delhi time zone), so I waited till the UA-cam link went live. It was an extremely encouraging talk and the tips were truly terrific!
    Thank you Reedsy!!❤

I write Children's Picture Books. I used an editor from Reedsy for the third manuscript and it was the best decision I made. Still working on the fixing, it.

Tena korua, ko Martin, ko Steve . That is just saying hi to you both a little formally.
This was a really interesting and useful session. I have hope, Steve, after listening to what you have been saying, for one of my stories. I love this story, it excites me and I wish I could focus on it at the expense of everything e4lse around me. No such chance, of course. I also find it quite challenging because of the main character who is nothing like me. I guess I'll work that out in time.
Thank you so much, Reedsy. You are simply the best...
