As a beginner rider this video has been so informative. Didn’t know I was riding on bad brake fluid lol.
Thanks! This video on how to tell if your tires should be replaced might be helpful too! ua-cam.com/video/L_w9f_IBiWg/v-deo.html
@@YouMotorcycle I don’t know how you read my mind but I was about to look for a video related to tires lol. Thanks for the link.

A very useful video. Enjoyed. Keep going bro. Got my like.
Was gonna ask a couple things but will wait to see the next video. Hope a great summer for you !
Feel free to ask whenever you want brother. Maybe I can make sure to include the answers in the next video. Summer so far is going great, just can't believe it's already August. Hope you're making the most of it!
Butt test did it for me. My fluid looks pretty clean due to low mileage, but its at least 3 years old. Thanks for the tip. I was considering putting it off but now I wont.
lol, i'm glad the butt test did it for you! 😂
Great info, thanks.
Another concise and informative video. Well done!
Thanks so much. Glad you liked it!
Very solid info here man. Thanks for these tips. I think my new bike needs new fluids.
Thanks brother, what's the year make model?
Never really knew about brake fluid or how to check it. Thanks a lot!
Happy to help! Hopefully this keeps you safe. I almost learned this lesson the hard way.
thanks dude very helpful
Thanks! Glad it helped!
Actually a great tutorial! Nice job.
Thanks man, much appreciated. I took my time with this own because it's something I think as motorcyclists we don't share with new riders enough, we just say "Just change the oil and filter and enjoy it!" But there's more than that...
Very helpful, thanks!
Glad it was helpful, thanks for taking the time to leave a comment I appreciate it!

Very useful
Thanks :)
Nicely done👍🏻
Thank you very much!
My manual says to replace the fluid once a year. Pro racers replace every 3 months. Here in tropical weather I change every 6 months.
Steel braided lines help reduce water from sleeping through the rubber hoses, and will be a better firm feel. Good brakes save lives
Agreed. What bike are you riding?

Anytime you remove the diaphragm you must put a brand-new diaphragm on so after test if you're going to remove the diaphragm you might as well go ahead and replace the fluid
I just checked the service manuals for the Honda Fury and the Kawasaki Ninja 650r since I had them on hand. Neither one mention replacing the diaphragm any time it is opened. What bike are you referring to? I haven't seen that in anything made in the last twenty years.
Recently experienced rear brake lock up on a triumph t bird, luckily at low speed and a safe location. I removed the cover from the reservoir and the pressure was released. Checked the pads for wear and still tolerant. Can this problem occur from bad brake fluid? Thanks for the informative video and any advice or helpful suggestions.
Can it be caused by bad brake fluid? Yes, but it can also be caused by a LOT of things. When you took the cap off, what color was the brake fluid? when is the last time the calipers were serviced? how old are the pads?
i give myself the butt test everyday. conclusion...I need to do more squats.
😂 new years resolution
Pee + Butt test, extremely easy to remember, thank you!
Hahaha thanks Andres.
this butt parallelism 🤣. so helpful to understand
Gotta find simple universal things that everyone can understand! lol
I'm displaying these symptoms on my Rebel 500 with 68k miles, and only 1 fluid change.😮
Time for some fresh fluids!
@@YouMotorcycle Thanks!
So my bikes like 3 months old it has cbs and the back brake chamber started off high now its low nd the front brake bites so much when I press the back brake ( very confusing) HELP
Its 3 months old, just call the dealer and they will help! Your motorcycle shouldn't be having brake issue that soon, and it shouldn't be on you to fix it if you paid good money buying a new one.
In your situation, I wouldn't touch this myself, just so the dealer could not try to blame anything on my tampering with it. It sounds like something wasn't checked or set up correctly and they should be taking care of it for you before something bad happens.
I'm sorry if this is a dumb question but does all this apply to the back brakes too?
Hey. Not a dumb question - it depends on the bike :) Many motorcycles still have rear drum brakes, which don't use brake fluid. But if your motorcycle uses a disk brake, then yes this would apply too.
@@YouMotorcycle Thanks!
@@onoloko any time:)
Does having no(completely dry)brake fluid affect your shocks in your motorcycle
Directly? No not really that I can think of 🤔. But brake fluid being empty is such a red flag of extreme neglect that It's not hard to expect other areas of the motorcycle would be in bad shape too
Got instructions messed up and peed in my girlfriends butt, now I'm single again ): But at least I have a bike so I'll get a new girlfriend in no time! :D Jokes aside, really good video! Just ordered a tester myself for like 5 euro!
Did she at least tell you if your brake fluid was okay before she left you? If yes, it's not a fail! lol
Thanks Luggruff.
@@YouMotorcycle she did. It was superb :D
@@Luggruff that's a win lol
Love the butt example
LOL, gotta find examples that are easy for people to understand and remember 😂
Did he say "buns of squeel"? 🤣
In hindsight I wish I had lol
I did the pee test and I can't see anything, it's just black.
