Since it's a credit bureau I think it's more so what they've gathered about your credit and public info than what you tell it. Which is one reason why is rather use them directly than adding this info to a 3rd party credit score company.
Hey should I pay for Experian CreditWorks Premium? I have the Experian App on my phone but it says upgrade to CreditWorks Premium to see other bureaus. What should I do?
If you're new to credit I'd pay for it for a couple of months to see how your credit fluctuates. Afterwards I'd just go back to the free version to see your Experian updated about twice a month and your other two scored will usually be in range of what your Experian score is depending on if you have any new inquiries on a certain bureau.
I've been using this app for several months and recently when I've paid up a card balance, my score will drop like 12 points. All accounts still open, no new accounts, 100% payment history. Contacted Experian about it and they can't explain it since they aren't credit advisors. Now today a card reported a $60 balance I had and my score went up 16 points. Isn't this backwards? My Credit Karma app makes the changes as they should be. Balance reported, score goes down. Pay up the balance, score goes up. Experian is really frustrating.
I think those type of fluctuations are normal. Sometimes carrying a small balance looks better than completely paying a balance off, but other times paying a balance off can increase your score. My vantage score does that too.
@@StrongEnough78 Generally the longer you have credit the smaller those changes will be. And once you get is the mid 700s then even significant drops won't really have much of an impact on your score as I've never really had any issues acquiring credit with a score over 700.
@@Mr.Everything Thats good to know. Thank you for the information. I am currently at 10 months into rebuilding mine. I hit over 700 at month 7. Its been between 721 and 708 the last couple months. It dropped a bit when I got my most recent credit card. I'll admit I went a bit overboard applying for cards cause I kept getting approved for them a few months after my first card and car loan. Now I've maxed my inquiries to 6. So I'll have to wait a while before trying for others.
@@StrongEnough78 I started out without having any credit so when I finally got a FICO score my lowest was in the 680s and my highest was around 715. I took on several inquiries the first year just to have a larger credit amount and multiple accounts showing they were being paid monthly so after taking a hit from several inquiries, I never went under 700 again and now every few months it'll jump up. I'd be well over 750 across the board but a few new cards and a loan put me around 730 again but as all of those accounts and loans report being paid monthly it'll boost me in the high 700s fairly quickly.
They limit some services on those discounted prices. And thru different affiliates. Just noticing it’s offering me a lot more than you there for $19.99 per month.
I believe the offer I got was "CreditWorks Plus" which has the 3 bureau scores but the Equifax and TU are just once a year. The CreditWorks Premium has all the features and more frequent score updates but costs more. It seems like only the Premium is offered in the app but if you sign in on the desktop site it offers you a free 30 trial that renews as the Plus subscription.
@@Mr.Everything Thank you , this is the exact reason I’m here today. I went for the free trial to see my credit for all 3 bureau and features ,but forgot to cancel it. I wanted to see if it was worth having the credit works premium membership. I am new to credit and learning. Your video and feedback helps a lot thank you.
Is the app secure? Seems like a ton of personal info to pump into an app......✌

@@Mr.Everything I see. Thank you for explaining that. I really appreciate it. It just floored me that the people at Experian couldn't tell me that.
