@brillfart I completely agree. The autotuner has the capacity to be a crutch and with a voice so naturally brilliant and wispy, she should really try developing it in future records. After all this is their debut album. Only room to go up from an already outstanding sound.
There is a lot of talk about autotune regarding Channy's voice. Well type in Channy Moon Casselle in your search and you will see she has a beautiful voice.
I've been wondering what she'd sound like without the auto-tune...not bad! Their use of auto-tune does give their songs a certain eerie, dare i say mysterious vibe. I worry about over-reliance on it and that does kinda limit their range. I love what I've heard from Polica so far, but all of the songs are very similar. They're gonna have to evolve and branch out to stay relevant once the buzz-band status wears off.
I like the liver version just as much, maybe even more.
